The man in the cowboy hat
I've edited out the gruesome parts of this picture but the man in the wheelchair had his legs blown off.*
The man in the cowboy hat was a bystander who lost two sons, one to suicide and one to the Iraq war. He was so upset that he doused himself in gasoline and tried to kill himself. He survived and had a brutal road to recovery.*
He was at the marathon because someone was running in the race in honor of the man in the cowboy hat's sons.*
He immediately ran to this man with no legs grabbed a wheelchair and humbly said he was one human being helping another human being not a hero.*
He contributed to saving this man's life.*
He is a shining example of a hero whether he believes it or not.*
