This is a Stanford study into crime that makes for sobering reading. It covers the period from the 1880s.
“From Henry Cabot Lodge in the late 19th century to Donald Trump, anti-immigration politicians have repeatedly tried to link immigrants to crime, but our research confirms that this is a myth and not based on fact,” says Abramitzky, whose 2022 book, Streets of Gold: America’s Untold Story of Immigrant Success, examines the many misconceptions around immigration.
Its a shane that hard working people can be slandered this way. The Italians and Jews faced this treatment. Now its the Hispanics. All abused by residents who basically lack the skills to cope.
I guess its part of a great american tradition. In every country there is an underclass that cant compete. And they take it out on newcomers, The way of the world.
