The normalization of modern Orwellian politics.

After the near fatal assassination attempt on a former US president was downplayed by media in a "nothing to see here move along" fashion it became clear to many that we are now living in an age of enhanced propaganda and gaslighting. It's not new but it is greatly magnified by technology making it possible to speed up the process of fomenting great changes in society. Oddly, the public mind hasn't changed much since JFK was taken out. People are more than willing to accept the government-issue explanation that a lone gunman acting on his own was the culprit. Of course dead men tell no tales and this works well to keep the story credible. All the evidence suggesting something different is quickly dumped into the files of conspiracy theory. They used to just hold commisions to justify official explanations but the public trust has weakened which is why that former president was elected the first time.

This leaves a modern observer with two choices. One can just believe the status quo that has every reason to want the target gone or one can question the status quo which could get you a visit from the FBI or have you placed on a no-fly list. You could also be cancelled by all opinion media as a trouble maker and a possible foreign spy. Mike Lindell cannot sell his pillows at Walmart. Does this Orwellian blockade give you pause? It should.

If you are getting old like this writer you notice these things. A lot of people normalize what is happening and they might not like where it leads.

The current citizens who benefit from this do not see it though. They are introducing something that humans see from time to time as despotic elites causes massive misery for the populations affected. And those who warn are destroyed to degree. Unfortunately, no one is rising up to challenge this. Frankly it may take violence and that is not on the table because if you rise up alone, you are dead and not even a martyr for the cause. It would take a lot of people and with resolve.
