I guess I'm the expert here on History of the Catholic Church in the post-Vatican II era since, as I've said before, "No one else here seems to know what the heck I'm talking about" vis a vis.. well, you name the Catholic topic.

So yeh, I've watched the decline of civilization over the last few decades, have watched how people are ditching Jesus by the millions and not surprisingly, as a result, we have a country that is... for lack of a better term: loony tunes.

It is "loony" to believe, for instance, that a helpless child who has never harmed anyone should be killed if his parent(s) don't want him.

It is "crazy" to just allow (or promote, or vote for allowing) just any old yahoo into your country-- who can then: take resources away from you and your fellow citizens, and worse, rob, rape and murder you &/or your loved ones

Where does all this lawlessness come from? It comes from not knowing God. And when the Vatican was taken over by those who hate the Church and wanted to control it (and now do), well, what do you expect to be the result of such a horrible event?

Most people apparently do not see the connection here

but some of us do

The catholic church is the problem.

The Catholic Church is a giant pedophile ring.

You like opening cans of worms, don't you? First, The Catholic Church has about 18.6% of the U.S. Population that identify as Catholics. 49% identify as Protestants. Then, there is a lot of others after that. 14.7% of all others who identify as Christians. So, the Catholic Church is a small part of the U.S. because there are many who do not and are of other religions or are atheists. With that said, the disintegration of tenants of all Christian and Jewish teachings has hurt the country.

where is home?

~S~
Believe it or not Home is when society had ONE Christian Church and it was often centered in the middle of town. No one was confused back then. You were either Christian (Catholic) or you were pagan or whatever. We had valid popes in those days. Today, we have no pope at all

Catholic teaching: one must be Catholic to be pope

Oh, so religion should be chosen by how popular it is?

OK, so much for centering your faith around Jesus Christ first and foremost

simpler times, i'll grant you that fork

but it;s a tad deeper than just the superficial

it's about our moral compass

Most of that 49% are just filling in a space on a form .

Huge difference between regularly practising your Cult Religion and just identifying with it for convenience .
Well, I'd rather follow a God that allows for free moral agency than the cult you follow called secular government Democratic religion.
Because someone doesn't regularly attend doesn't mean they stopped believing in Christ. In fact, many Christian denominations don't really give a doctrinal reason to attend each week.
