In a Republic, actually
ā€˜A feature of the Trump-era Republican Party has been its collapse into disarray in swing states like Michigan and Arizona. Next up may be Wisconsin, where a faction of Republicans is trying to purge Assembly leader Robin Vos. On Monday the Trump wing of the GOP announced it had submitted enough signatures to force a recall vote of Mr. Vos, a fellow Republican and the longest serving speaker of the Wisconsin Assembly.

Mr. Vosā€™s alleged offense is that he didnā€™t fight hard enough to overturn President Bidenā€™s 2020 election victory in the state. Mr. Trumpā€™s supporters wanted the election decertified, and Mr. Vos had to explain to people unwilling to listen that this wasnā€™t legally possible. Lawmakers ā€œdonā€™t have the ability to unilaterally overturn the election,ā€ the Speaker said.

[ā€¦]

Mr. Biden won Wisconsin by some 21,000 votes. The reason is that more than 60,000 voters who supported down-ballot GOP Congressional candidates didnā€™t vote for Mr. Trump. This was the pattern in the suburban areas of several swing states. A study of the 2020 election results by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, a highly credible conservative legal group, found ā€œno evidence of widespread voter fraudā€ and no evidence of significant problems with voting machines.

Speaker Vosā€™s antagonists are allying themselves with the stateā€™s progressives at a moment of GOP vulnerability. Mr. Vos and other legislators must run this year in new districts ordered by state Supreme Court that are far better for Democrats. The urge to purge the GOP of dissenters is one reason the party has lost so many recent elections. Democrats in the Badger State couldnā€™t be happier at the spectacle.ā€™

Letā€™s hope this pattern of voting in the suburban areas of several swing states occurs again this year.

their ideology is so toxic that their own children are not buying it, so libersls and thye educated must be blamed, then come the rinos, well meaning but simple minded followers of ayn rand or milton friedman.

at some point all they have left is the evangelicals, people whose birth rate is low , probably the result of not knowing that babies are not delivered by migratory shore birds.

Why is criminal TRump still receiving preferential concern simply because he was a terrible president who lied more than 30,000 times while in office plus he lied about COVID 19 which has killed more than one million humans and he lies everyday while campaigning ........ he should be held in detention until each court date. Now he is lying about some material he received long ago thus he should NOT receive more time to prepare!

Does our Justice Department not have any back bone?

Former presidents are NOT any more special than any other taxpaying citizen!!!!!!!

The MAGA party brooks no dissent. You either tow the line or youā€™re out. The singular test Is how loyal you are to Donald Trump. As I write that I can't help but laugh how a party can so disgrace itself to not only fall for that pathetic con man but to actually worship the demented loon.
