Anson was undoubtedly racist and a product of his time and place. I wonder how someone like
Al Sharpton or Louis Farrakhan will be judged in fifty years?

The Hall of Fame was never intended to be a referendum on someone's personality but on baseball
talent alone. Many ball players were less than exemplary people.

Wouldn't it suit your cancel culture purposes better if the Hall put up an additional plaque
explaining Anson's personal shortcomings for educational purposes?
I doubt the Hall of Fame will walk down the woke trail in any case.
