The just passed two trillion dollar stimulus has nothing to do with Socialism. It does, however, fall under something known as Limited Economic Interventionism which is a purely capitalistic practice, and an American one as well. Overall, a very good post. I was right with you until the next to last paragraph. For a capitalist favoring citizen of this country, putting up with some degrees of creeping socialism, can be an irritant. But, nobody stole my opportunities. I am the captain of my ship and always have been and will be. I have navigated the waters of mixed economic realities as best I could, and am satisfied. Really? Because my boss just called and told me they’re bringing me back as an essential worker. Three days in they’ve lost thousands of dollars because I’m not there. So I’ll keep getting 75% of my pay but 20 hours will be at 100%. I’ll work from home 2 hours in morning two hours in afternoon.
