To undermine The Axis of Evil, it is necessary to destroy the Taliban

All the aid that Charlie Wilson arranged to go to Afghanistan to fight the Russians
This is a false formulation. The “Russians” were represented there by the KGB, and the war was for the freedom of the peoples of the Northern Alliance. The KGB simply provided manpower for the Pashtun imperialists.

Then channeled most of the rest to their favored factions of Afghani insurgents. This did not include factions favorable to the West/USA such as the Northern Alliance, etc.
Where? Reagan supplied weapons to the rebels of the Northern Alliance, he dealt directly with Shah Massoud.
There were no other rebels there at all except the Northern Alliance.

When Russia left Afghanistan the USA lost interest in that nation/region, "the cause" there. Part of what set the stage for later Al Qaeda and other Jihadist organizations.
Militant Jihadis within the Pakistan ISI saw a void to fill, in the Pushtan and on through into Afghanistan, hence they "created" the Taliban. Same old fighters/mujahedin, new name.
Lies. The United States remained there, but the Northern Alliance achieved independence.

The United States was present there all this time, right up to the fraudulent coup in the White House.

To destroy the Taliban you have to destroy the religion/dogma they believe and also their support base within the Pakistani ISI.
Neither the USA nor any others in the West want to start a Pakistan civil war and get embroiled in that mess.
Nonsense. They were destroyed without any problems, they were revived by the treacherous feds Biden and Trump. They're just a bunch of pathetic buggers.

What a pile of bullshit!

For a start , you contradict yourself by first claiming that Russian/Soviet/USSR military units of the Soviet Russian presence in Afghanistan were a batch of KGB agents; not actual battalions~brigades, etc. .

Then you claim these KGB "agents" were there not to support the Communist National Government of that time, but rather to support a Western~Anti-Communist leaning insurgent movement, the "Northern Alliance"*, which was oppopsed to the Central, Russian supported, National Government ...

Yet at the same time and within the same post you claim the Russian KGB was there to support the opposition to the West leaning Northern Alliance via the "Pashtun imperialists".

Are you really that Stupid ~ Dumb ~ Ignorant or just another Russian dis-information Troll ???
...
"Pashtun imperialists" ??? !!!
Give us a break!

The Pushtan tribes that compose the current "Taliban" were nothing more than Islamic Jihad "terrorists"! With an anti-West, anti-non-Muslim agenda!

This is all you have to know about this topic.

Where did you get this information from?
Much of my information came from a book of a couple decades ago;*
"Charlie Wilson's War" written by George Crille. Which, by the way, is more accurate and informative than anything you have presented/posted on this forum/message board.

" Charlie Wilson's War: The Extraordinary Story of the Largest Covert Operation in History (later titled Charlie Wilson's War: The Extraordinary Story of How the Wildest Man in Congress and a Rogue CIA Agent Changed the History of Our Times) is a 2003 book by George Crile III. Upon publication, the book received praise from The New York Times, making it onto their best seller list. The book was also placed on Washington Post and Los Angeles Times best seller lists. "

It details U.S. Representative Charlie Wilson's role in providing assistance to the Afghan Mujahideen during the Soviet–Afghan War.[1] The book depicts the Texas Congressman’s role in facilitating the CIA operation Cyclone, a covert mission within Afghanistan. Wilson solicited the aid of CIA officer Gust Avrakotos, a member of a small team at the agency assigned to the Afghanistan portfolio, as well as then-CIA weapons specialist Mike Vickers. This operation would become one of the largest military operations ever undertaken by the CIA, spanning 13 years and running into the hundreds of millions of dollars.[2] The book was based upon a series of interviews conducted by American journalist George Crile III, a producer for 60 Minutes.[1] The book was received very positively in post-9/11 America, as the book presented the public with undisclosed information about the United States' dealings with the Afghan Mujahideen.[3] Crile's book also details significant events that occurred over the course of the 13 years, how Charlie Wilson was able to run a covert war with very little oversight.

It was adapted into the 2007 Mike Nichols film Charlie Wilson's War, in which Wilson was portrayed by Tom Hanks. The film went on to receive multiple Golden Globe award nominations. "

I recommend the book since it is highly informative and more detailed than the movie.

Check your geography and maps.

During the 1980s the only access the West had to Afghanistan was through Pakistan.
Wilson started the flow of weapons and support to those Afganis resisting the Russians, Reagan and his Administration later incorporated this into other foreign activities/agendas.

The "Northern Alliance" was in the Northern/NE part of the country next to the USSR. Any weapons and material going to them had to go through the other resistance groups in the South~SE of Afghanistan and the Central Russain controled portions of Afghanistan before getting to the Northern Alliance. Which is why they got very little compared to the other Islamic Resistance groups.

More bullshit, or Kremlin dis-information ...

USA presence was a handful of CIA agents within Afghanistan during the 1980s and on into the 1990s after the Russians withdrew.
The Northern Alliance remained isolated and under attack from the other Islamic Jihad Resistance groups taking control of Afghanistan when the Soviet Russians left.

What "fraudulent coup in the White House" are you referring to ???

BTW, the "Northern Alliance" were attacked and suppressed(eliminated) once the Taliban gained control of the country.

Blatant lies from the Kremlin. The Mujahideen are enemies of the Taliban, rebels of the Northern Alliance.
Only blatant lies form the Kremlin are coming from you!

The "Mujahideen" is a generic Arabic/Islamic term for "holy warriors" and has wide application per religious and political ideology/association.

Both Taliban and Northern Alliance could be considered "Mujahideen" per their opposition to non-Muslims active within their country.

Nonsense. They were destroyed without any problems, they were revived by the treacherous feds Biden and Trump. They're just a bunch of pathetic buggers.
Taliban were never destroyed, hence no "revived".
As a product, name only, of the ISI* of Pakistan, they remained in existence and power once the Russians left Afghanistan.

* = ISI ...

The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI; Urdu: بین الخدماتی استخبارات, romanized: bayn khadamatiy estekhabarati) is the largest and best-known component of the Pakistani intelligence community. It is responsible for gathering, processing, and analyzing any information from around the world that is deemed relevant to Pakistan's national security. The ISI reports to its director-general and is primarily focused on providing intelligence to the Pakistani government.

The ISI primarily consists of serving military officers drawn on secondment from the three service branches of the Pakistan Armed Forces: the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, and Pakistan Air Force, hence the name "Inter-Services"; the agency also recruits civilians. Since 1971, it has been formally headed by a serving three-star general of the Pakistan Army, who is appointed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the recommendation of the Chief of Army Staff, who recommends three officers for the position. As of 2021, the ISI is currently headed by Nadeem Anjum, a lieutenant general.[3] The ISI director-general reports directly to both the prime minister and the Chief of Army Staff.

The agency gained global recognition and fame in the 1980s when it backed the Afghan mujahideen against the Soviet Union during the Soviet–Afghan War in the former Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. Over the course of the conflict, the ISI worked in close coordination with the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States and the Secret Intelligence Service of the United Kingdom to run Operation Cyclone, a program to train and fund the mujahideen in Afghanistan with support from China, Saudi Arabia, and other Muslim nations.[4][5][6]

Following the dissolution of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan in 1992, the ISI provided strategic support and intelligence to the Taliban against the Northern Alliance during the Afghan Civil War in the 1990s.[7][8][9] The ISI has strong links with jihadist groups, particularly in Afghanistan and Kashmir.[10][11][12][13][14][15] Its special warfare unit is the Covert Action Division. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in their first ever open acknowledgement in 2011 in US Court, said that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) sponsors and oversees the insurgency in Kashmir by arming separatist militant groups.[14][15] "

Pashtunwali makes it very clear to us who they [the Pashtuns] are," says the Jerusalem-based rabbi while referring to an unwritten tribal code the Pashtuns have been following unfailingly for centuries now. "It's the Mosaic Law in its most primitive form that these people in Afghanistan and Pakistan are keeping to this day."

If the Pashtuns accept their Israeli [Jewish] origin, their identity, it'll be the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, says Rozenberg, a social entrepreneur who heads iTribe.us, a global platform to connect the Israelite tribes scattered across the world.

All the aid that Charlie Wilson arranged to go to Afghanistan to fight the Russians had to go through Pakistan first. Pakistan took their "cut of the action" from that pipeline. Then channeled most of the rest to their favored factions of Afghani insurgents. This did not include factions favorable to the West/USA such as the Northern Alliance, etc.

The infection will fester for now.

Taliban is just a local chapter of Global Islamic Jihad so we can expect more trouble in times to come.

The Taliban were Afghani war orphans. They were very young when they came to the attention of the West. I think that was 1994.

The Taliban emerged in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar around September 1994. The Taliban are a movement of religious students (talib) from the Pashtun areas of eastern and southern Afghanistan who were educated in traditional Islamic schools.
