Top Lawyers Won’t Touch Donald Trump With A “1000 Foot Pole” As Legal Troubles Escalate

Oh stop with the stupid---they got Trump for using the word "UNIVERSITY" as part of the name. Not exactly FRAUD as I think everyone knows that Trump UNIVERSITY isn't a real UNIVERSITY

Nope. Trump promoted the R/E school by claiming he would be teaching.

So you're claiming that a protest that didn't last more than half a day...by unarmed people...who's damage to the Capital was so minor that Congress was back in session the next day...somehow was a threat to the very fabric of our democracy?
It only failed because of the rule of law. That's it. The rule of law prevented Mike Pence from overturning democracy. Our authorities kept the mob from getting their hands on him.

Oh yes, it must be exposed and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Allege.

How many AC casinos have failed recently?

Again, nebulous accusations passed of as fact, plus pretending that TRUMP WAS THE FIRST EVAH TO DO X.

Never attacking policies, just going after him and those who support him.

Trump's audacious personality and opulent properties brought attention — and countless players — to Atlantic City as it sought to overtake Las Vegas as the country’s gambling capital. But a close examination of regulatory reviews, court records and security filings by The New York Times leaves little doubt that Mr. Trump’s casino business was a protracted failure.
Though he now says his casinos were overtaken by the same tidal wave that eventually slammed this seaside city’s gambling industry, in reality he was failing in Atlantic City long before Atlantic City itself was failing. But even as his companies did poorly, Mr. Trump did well.
He put up little of his own money, shifted personal debts to the casinos and collected millions of dollars in salary, bonuses and other payments. The burden of his failures fell on investors and others who had bet on his business acumen.
In three interviews with The Times since late April, Mr. Trump acknowledged in general terms that high debt and lagging revenues had plagued his casinos. He did not recall details about some issues, but did not question The Times’s findings. He repeatedly emphasized that what really mattered about his time in Atlantic City was that he had made a lot of money there.

His casino companies made four trips to bankruptcy court, each time persuading bondholders to accept less money rather than be wiped out. But the companies repeatedly added more expensive debt and returned to the court for protection from lenders.
After narrowly escaping financial ruin in the early 1990s by delaying payments on his debts, Mr. Trump avoided a second potential crisis by taking his casinos public and shifting the risk to stockholders. And he never was able to draw in enough gamblers to support all of the borrowing.
During a decade when other casinos here thrived, Mr. Trump’s lagged, posting huge losses year after year. Stock and bondholders lost more than $1.5 billion.
All the while, Mr. Trump received copious amounts for himself, with the help of a compliant board. In one instance, The Times found, Mr. Trump pulled more than $1 million from his failing public company, describing the transaction in securities filings in ways that may have been illegal

Or did you think they were?
Yeah, I did.
Because of the statements they made.

Longtime Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) said at the time that the suit showed a “lack of seriousness” taken by the president, saying: “There’s no way I don’t think any of us can excuse what the president did yesterday.”

"ISIS is watching,” he continued. “If you were the head of ISIS, if you were Baghdadi, if you were anyone in the ISIS, would you come away from yesterday afraid of the United States? Would you be afraid that the United States was going to use all its power to crush ISIS? Or would you think here’s a person who’s going to go out and do a few fundraisers over the Labor Day weekend?”

Fox Business commentator Lou Dobbs said then that he thought the suit was “shocking to a lot of people” and asked on Twitter, “What message is the President trying to send?”

As you know, President Obama and Vice President Biden made a historic trip to an Arlington, VA hamburger joint, to celebrate the "stress tests" or something, bringing the entire press corps in tow. Well, it took all of Sean Hannity's brain power to come up with a joke about it, but he finally decided to make fun of the fact that Obama wanted a "spicy" or "Dijon" mustard on his cheeseburger, just like the undead Nikita Khruschev prefers.

But the moron has no issue with his daddy eating KFC or pizza with a knife and fork?

Oh, please! January 6th never even came close to overthrowing our government or the election that had just taken place! It was a protest that got out of hand because the Capital Police were so ill prepared for the crowds that showed up. Congress was back in session the next day. How you translate THAT into Trump being named "Dear Leader For Life" is laughable!
Hey thanks for admitting that it was a "protest that got out of hand" that turned into a full fledged out of control riot with Trump's goons breaking down doors, beating capital police upside the head with U.S. & Trump flags, theft & destruction of government property, members of Congress & the V.P's lives threatened, a Trump supporter shot & killed, cops who were beaten by Trump's mob maimed for life, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Just a concidence that all that happened after your orange lunatic & his goons egged them on.

It failed because it never had a chance of succeeding! You don't take down the country or overturn an election by occupying the Capital any more than you take down a university by occupying the Dean's office! This notion that the protesters were attempting to "overturn" democracy is laughable! What they were doing was letting Congress know that they were unhappy with the way that an election had just been handled...an election that they believed was rife with voter fraud.
As for it being "exposed"? What pray tell don't we know about the protest? The FBI already investigated it and found no signs of an organized plot to attack the Capital. What they found was that the Capital Police handled things so poorly that the protestors were almost INVITED to occupy the Capital building and did so! Why are conservative protesters being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law when liberal protesters were routinely given slaps on the wrist and released for FAR more violent actions all over the country?

And that differs how from the average liberal protest, Clipper?
How about you admit that compared to what we'd seen for the better part of a year...the Capital protest wasn't even that violent? That police were treated far worse by liberal protesters at virtually every protest that they put on? That destruction to the Capital building was so minor that they were open for business one day later?

'the Capital protest wasn't even that violent'?

Your right, it was just like any other capitol tour by tourist.
Just like flight 93 that 'landed' in Pennsylvania was just a little turbulence.

The ONLY reason that cultists deny the FAILED insurrection is because it was a FAILURE. They would have been all in if it had succeeded in stopping the vote.

An opinion piece, nothing more.

And for a while the only Casino that was doing good was Borgata, as it was the new shiny one. The Trop was shit before they renovated it, and the Revel crapped out even being new and shiny.

Sure retard.
I'm not the one attending Trump's pity rallies, buying his Chinese made trinkets nor defending the NYC grifter.

No, you are the one in full TDS mode, stuck attacking a guy out of office while your guy flounders in the fog of dementia.

Your response was weak excuse making. Didn’t address the substance st all.

The last excuse was particularly pathetic since you criticize me for not debating issues not present in this conversation as if that’s relevant.

You’re a loser.

When the discussion gets down to the level you play at, all you can respond with is pointing out your flaws and weaknesses.

 Oh brother....That's it? I see nothing in there to confirm your allegation that Republican's wanted to impeach Obama over the color of his suit.

Sure, just deny facts, moron.
Trump's disasters were failing in the early to mid 90's.
The Borgata was started in 1999.
Of course the great 'deal maker' sued Steve Wynn when he built it, Trump lost, as usual.

Businessman doing Business. Again, your side starts with the concept of Trump being the devil, and then you just fill in biased stories to "prove" your viewpoint.

It's needed for you to keep of your construct of Trump as the anti-christ.
