But can it translate into enough popularity for Trump to give him immunity from prosecution so that he can at the least hint that he's calling for violence?

The baseball bat stunt isn't painting a good picture for Trump so far at least.

And that was just an ethereal suggestion of consequences if the law intends to take him down!
