Trump denies both Russia and Exxon...the left weeps. How is Trump Putin's lapdog again?

Today it was reported that the State Dept.......you know, Trump's State Dept. denied the request by Exxon...you know, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's former employer, the waiver they needed in order to work with Russian companies to look for oil in the Black Sea....

So......left wingers....as your Russia owns Trump meme goes down in freaking flames.....can you explain why Trump the Russian Lap dog, and Rex Tillerson the Exxon lapdog, both refused to allow Exxon and Russia to do what they wanted?

it wasn't the State Dept that denied it, the news said it was the Treasury Dept.

AND it was the sane thing to do, since there are Sanctions preventing the business, why in the heck would EXXON even think they should get some sort of favoritism and allow them to be an exception over all other businesses also restrained from doing business due to sanctions?

If there was not this whole Russian / Trump investigation going on by at least 3 different govt entities, Trump might have been able to get it through for EXXON/Russia

Trump's got over three years to provide very clear indications of how he's Putin's "lapdog." There is no need to race to make that point for it wasn't among the things Trump stated he'd accomplish in his first 100 days, or at all.
