Of course it is. I have seen a journo do it. A particular event is a case in point. A Chief Minister gave a speech and missed a word; it made the news. A 'newby" lefty leader gave a follow up speech and edited out was the common phrase "oh f**k; let's try this s**t again". He said only two sentences...lots of F**k and s**ts apart, that were reasonable. They made the news.

btw: I was talking with the journo while he was editing. And frankly he wasn't even a d**khead!!!
