Were you a competent motor poll flunky?

Can you pilot a jet plane or are you just a jackass that likes to demean those that had a higher rank and more important job than you did?

I have many problems with Bush. He was a Progressive that ran this country like a Democrat with his big government policies. It was RINO leadership like that that ran me out of the Republican Party because they are Democrat Light.

However, GW Bush served honorably in the Texas Air National Guard as a fighter pilot mostly flying CONUS interdiction mission during the Cold War. That is more than most men did during that time. It was a hellva lot more important job than working in a motor pool.

The Florida supreme court doesn't agree with you.

...it's cool... the United States Supreme Court agrees with me.

Florida, regardless of the outcome had worked it through their legal system as to how to proceed with the recount.

....Unconstitutionally!

However in an unprecedented move the Supreme Court decided to tell a state how to count its votes and then specifically stated that their ruling should not be used as precedence in further court cases.

No sir... SCOTUS ruled it was unconstitutional for the Fla. Court to uphold state certification of the election in order to continue an unprecedented "interpretative" recount. Who do you think you're talking to, some airhead?

Whether Gore or Bush (I have no idea who would have won)

Well, BUSH would have won, according to numerous independent recounts after the certification took place. Now that doesn't count the "dangling chad interpretations" the Democrats planned on counting... just the official legal votes.

And for the record, the Federal government (and SCOTUS) have every right to intervene when state officials and courts attempt to interfere with the integrity of our election process. You don't get to make up cute new rules for how we "interpretatively" count votes. You wanna change something? Go through CONGRESS and have it changed legally BEFORE the election. And when you bring this stupid idea to Congress, let me know so I can watch them shred your argument and make you look like the incompetent goofball you are.

Well I guess the easiest way to stop trump is just to keep him from the magic number and let the delegates decide

I'm sure someone else has already thought of that long ago. The good thing about a Hillary presidency is that this country can finally see how bad it can get under socialism. It may take a generation or so but eventually people will get tired of it just like they did in the Soviet Union.

oh stop this crap- first off hillary is not going to win, second of all trump needs to win or Americas done. Thirdly America saw what socialism looks like under Obama.

When I say I have no idea which would have won that takes into account the Broward County butterfly ballot which logged hundreds of votes for Buchanan which was obvious weren't intended for him as well as voting role purges for mostly African Americans in the thoushands who were identified as felons however were not. Over votes for President in Duval county over another confusing ballot and of course shitty outdated punch card voting machines. A recount isn't going to fix all that, but it would have been nice if Florida whether Republican or Democrat had its shit together and didn't fuck up a close election handing to the guy who got fewer votes nationally.

Yadda, yadda, yadda... you do realize this is 16-year-old stale fart smoke... that kids getting their driver's license today were just being born when this happened? And here you are, still throwing up the same old tired and debunked nonsense. You say it yourself... recounts wouldn't have fixed any of that stuff... and what have you fixed since then? I don't recall any unconscionable problems in Florida for either of Obama's big victories... so they must have fixed the problems, right? Or is it still just like it was and it's only a problem when a Republican wins in Florida?

Again.... We have an election process.... We all have agreed on the rules and how we will conduct the elections.... We can't let a certain group of people go changing the rules in the middle of the process or whenever they don't get the results they want. Surely you can understand WHY that is? So if the voting machines are bad, if the ballots are confusing, if the style of the ballot is complicated, if the voter rolls are fucked up.... those things have to be fixed before the elections happen. If the elections happen and they're NOT fixed, it's not something we can change the outcome of the election over. We just have to live with the results.... and most of us have been... for 16 fucking years now... the man who won in Florida served two terms and is retired now. His predecessor has now served two terms and is getting ready to retire.... SO what the FUCK do you hope to accomplish with your complaint? WHAT is your point here?

Are liberals still whining about Gore losing?

Yes... Kids are going to their first proms this year and they weren't even born when this happened!

And the only thing I guess we can do is invent a time machine, go back to 2000, protest the election and have GWB declared illegitimate and make Al Gore the winner! If we can't do that, we're screwed... we're never going to hear the end of this. Every year, every election, for as long as these stupid fuckers are alive... we're going to hear the same idiotic shit over and over and over and over!

I didn't say the recount would have changed the outcome nor have anything I stated been debunked. As far as no other problems in Florida, we haven't had an election close enough.

As far as ballots, voter purges and other nonsense, those issues often times aren't realized until election day. .I think you have a complete misunderstanding of my post.

No, the only reason we are talking about the Florida election is becuase superdemocrat compared it to the supposed cheating going on by team Cruz, I disagreed, it's not the same thing and put out quick list as to why. Then you guys came in and wanted to debate the Florida recount. So, let's keep things in perspective, children.

Well I debunked a bunch of your noise earlier when you had it wrong about how things went down. See post #64 and post #48 specifically, as well as post #37.

Oh... so there are only these unacceptable "problems" whenever there is a close election? What that sounds like to me is a convenient whining complaint to pull out whenever the results aren't to your satisfaction. Seems like we could use this anytime something is close... we can always find things to nit-pick and criticize about the process AFTER the fact... especially if it's close and we don't like the outcome.

Ya see, here's the thing... GROWN UPS.... don't do that. Only children do that. When MY children tried to pull that, they got their asses busted and they didn't do it anymore. And so, that's probably YOUR problem... mommy and daddy failed to bust that ass when you pulled this shit and you grew up thinking it was the thing to do whenever you don't get your way. Whine and complain about the rules... it's not faaaaaair! Everybody haaaaates me!

Grow the fuck up... get over the 2000 election and move on with your life.

Well that's what you get for arguing with an idiot, I guess. Tinydancer had the best response to his nonsense... what does the Florida general election have to do with the RNC primaries? THAT is the biggest reason it's not the same thing... because it's fucking NOT THE SAME THING! lol

You talk about this swine of a man as if he was some sort of hero because he learned to fly You never mention how this complete ah of a man got so many of our guys killed and wounded over his bs war and how he avoided real service in nam And yes many had a higher rank than I in the army My sarge knew I didn't like being there and wasn't going to re up so I never got above an E3

If Trump hits the 1237 the question is moot. Those delegates taken cannot switch until a second ballot. 1237 on the first and its over.
Trump will walk into the convention with more than 1,237. It's all but over after Indiana. It's been over for quite some time but its going to take the total dismemberment of Cruz for the #nevertrump/GOPe to throw the towel.

Cruiz has to get completely impaled before he quits. He knows if it is contested convention that he will get picked.
Sunday polls show Trump ahead of Cruz in Indiana by 15 points.

Cruz Delegates Waver as Trump Gains Momentum, by Brendan Bordelon, National Review

Sunday polls show Trump ahead of Cruz in Indiana by 15 points.

I saw that too and I thought it was sort of strange there has been like a 25-point swing in the polls in less than a week. That usually doesn't happen unless someone kills somebody. I'll have to see more polls to accept this isn't an outlier.
