He didn't protect free speech. He has enabled disinformation.
One man's free speech is another man's "disinformation".
Like when Kellyanne coined the phrase "alternate facts" when Rs and Ds disagree on the facts.

Even for fact-checking the Trump-Harris debate there should be two separate fact checkers, one appointed by each, since fact-checking can be <<<<spun>>>> politically.

As I said, I don't think Musk would be in-charge because he can't divest everything, but the idea is terrific.
They aren't giving Musk power to eliminate anything in government. He will just be tasked with oversight of whatever auditors are needed to do a thorough government audit to see what should be retained and what should be ended. Other than rogue programs within agencies that Congress never agreed to and may not even know about--the President and/or Department heads can end those--Congress will need to vote on ending defunct or ineffective programs and spending initiatives.

But at least they will have the information necessary to debate and decide on how that should go.

2. Elon Musk is a certified GENIUS.
Then why is everything he says and does so hilariously stupid?

He's a sad fascist dumbshit with a brainwashed cult following, much like Trump.

Go on, tell us what GENIUS things Elon Musk has done. I mean, aside from buying Twitter so that he could censor everyone who makes fun of him.

One of my recommendations has always been to have another "Grace Commission" to study the Federal government and eliminate waste. fraud and abuse. It could also make major cost cutting recommendations like sending Welfare and Medicaid back to the States. Some changes would require legislation, others could be by Executive Orders.
The Grace Commission failed, it would have save the US from DEBT, but Congress never supported their money saving recommendations.

Key Facts

  • The commission will be “tasked with conducting a complete financial and performance audit of the entire federal government” and make “recommendations for drastic reforms,” Trump said in his speech Thursday at the Economic Club of New York.
  • Musk has agreed to lead the commission, Trump said—and while Musk has not commented since Trump’s speech Thursday, he has repeatedly said in the past he would be open to serving on the commission.
  • The group’s first order of business, Trump said, will be formulating a plan to “totally eliminate fraud and improper payments within six months.”
  • Musk has repeatedly raised the idea for such a commission, describing it as one that would ensure “taxpayers’ money . . . is spent in a good way,” and telling Trump he would be “happy to help out” during a live chat on X last month.
  • Trump and his advisers have been discussing for months the formulation of a group led by business executives that would comb government spending for excess, the Washington Post reported earlier this week.
  • In response to the Washington Post report, Musk wrote “can’t wait” and that there is “a lot of waste and needless regulation in government that needs to go” on X.

Musk may be conflicted and unable to divest. Even without Musk this commission needs to happen.
just another government organization that will used to put cons/gop in jail and violate the hatch act

His company. You never complained when Twitter censored conservatives. :mm:

This is a fact. You can't start a government agency in your garage. A 12 year old can't have an idea and turn it into a government agency. And in government everybody is your client or customer.

Elon Musk's "efficiency programs" made several rockets blow up, and made the CyberTruck into the worst vehicle ever produced in all of American history.

The guy is a drug-addled clown. Nobody wants him in charge of anything.

The rockets were expected to blow up during those tests, he is using the failure approach to development as opposed to the expecting success method.

The rockets were expected to blow up during those tests,
That's some serious cult devotion.

Elon's funniest pooch was declaring that his launch pads didn't need a water quench system. No matter that everyone else said they did. He's a genius, and he just knows these things.

The launch then proceeded to rip chunks of concrete out of the luanch pad and send them back into the engines, resulting in the rocket blowing up shortly after launch.

And then they fixed it.

And now the system works.

The guy who received billions in government subsidies to make the least cost effective electric cars only rich people could afford should be put in charge of an efficiency commission?

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Oh, man. That's priceless.
