Trump signs executive order to dismantle the Civil Rights Act of 1964

In the process, he has deleted over 20% of America's wealth, not to mention the damage he has caused to US respect around the world. No one from other countries wants to visit the US anymore. They may end up in an El Salvador prison.

The scarier part is that no one wants to do business with us because of him.

He lies, doesn’t honor any deal he has ever made. There is no point in making a deal with a mn like that. The world knows it.

This is why Trump couldn't end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours.

Neither side trusts Trump.

In a sweeping move that civil rights advocates say could unravel decades of progress toward racial and gender equity,
After "decades of civil rights acts" Americans are still moaning about racial and gender equity so maybe it's time to try something different. Let's give Trump a chance to see if he's got a better idea. :eusa_clap:

That's what the Germans thought in the 1930's. How did that work out?
That's what the Yanks have been saying for "decades of civil rights acts". How is that working out? ANSWER: They are still bitching and moaning. :crybaby:

All those Black Conservatives who voted for 47 share a large part of the blame for this. Hope they are happy.
They are, the realize racism is only in the Democrat party, that the lie they can't do well for themselves without government is a democrat lie

Thanks for posting the Order.
It’s readily available.
it is every bigot’s wet dream.

Bullshit.
A full frontal assault on Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act.
It isn’t. Why must you lie?
It essentially an effort to gut enforcement of the Act.
Wrong. It’s an effort to repair a faulty mechanism in how it is enforced (and assessed).
This has been an ongoing GOP goal ever since the Act was passed.
False. You lie an awful lot.
And who is cheering?
Only sensible folks. This is why you’re out of the loop.
The same people who voted for George Wallace in 1968.
Most of whom are likely already dead. But it’s a bogus reassertion of your main lie, anyway.

In a sweeping move that civil rights advocates say could unravel decades of progress toward racial and gender equity, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday that seeks to dismantle a key legal tool for combating systemic discrimination: disparate-impact liability.

The order, titled Restoring Equality of Opportunity and Meritocracy, frames itself as a defense of "colorblind" principles, arguing that policies considering race or gender in any way— even unintentionally— undermine meritocracy. But legal experts and activists warn that the directive could gut enforcement of landmark civil rights laws, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, by making it nearly impossible to challenge discriminatory practices that disproportionately harm marginalized groups.

When I read the article title, I thought it was a joke. It was not. trump is intent on turning back the racial clock to the 50's. Please do not tell me that trump is not a racist. That will not fly anymore. I hope all the minorities that voted for this man have learned a lesson. trump on lies when his lips are moving. LESSON LEARNED!
Scalia once said he didn't think the CRA would pass constitutional muster....and I'm pretty sure this court leans that way.

In Jim Crow America, Negroes lacked the essentials to do the complex tasks of higher paying jobs.

A true meritocracy

Especially since, before 1865 in most states, it was illegal to teach a black person how to read or write.

Only in a court that finds "individual rights" that were originally meant to be "collective rights"

The actual executive order is:

And yes. It does seek to eliminate, as much as possible, the theory of “disparate impact.”

That’s wonderful and greatly overdue.

Thank God President Trump won the delayed second term.

It throws out the extra burden placed on married women, when they try to vote.
Not only do they have to present their birth certificate, but every marriage certificate and divorce decree that made their legal name differ from what appeared on their birth certificate.

Without certified copies, women wouldn't be allowed to vote.

Yet men only need a single document.

But that's not disparate treatment is it?

Sixty plus years of whining and blacks are worse off because they expect free stuff, advancement they don't merit, etc., etc., etc.

Now BS like the 1619 project to try and wreck the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026.

Blacks have been and still are free to emigrate, since 1865.

And they still lack it.

We had a guy giving them answers so they could pass an FAA exam because otherwise they couldn't. Just one of many such examples.
