Trump signs executive order to dismantle the Civil Rights Act of 1964

Nah, the EO in your link will not harm the Civil Rights Act.

In fact, no President in my life time has enforced the Civil Rights Act as much as Trump, he's taking on places like Harvard, and Columbia head on with their clear violations of it
Can you explain these "clear violations"?

Dig this, without civil rights yer ass can be abused by the government and society.
Dig this: we’re fans of civil rights. You shitlib commies should refrain from even daring to discuss that topic. You have no credibility in that realm.

And challenging the methodology of supposedly delivering civil rights, you moron, doesn’t suggest any opposition TO civil rights. The “disparate impact” analysis has always been bullshit.

So, as always, stick it up your ass.

Good to see you are using yer college words...Since I am white I never had to worry about my civil rights.

Care to quote the language of the Order that leads you to believe it guts "Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act?"

Sec 3. Revoking Certain Presidential Actions. The following Presidential approvals of the regulations promulgated under 42 U.S.C. 2000d-1 are hereby revoked:
(a) the Presidential approval of July 25, 1966, of the Department of Justice Title VI regulations (31 Fed. Reg. 10269), as applied to 28 C.F.R. 42.104(b)(2) in full; and
(b) the Presidential approval of July 5, 1973, of the Department of Justice Title VI regulations (38 Fed. Reg. 17955, FR Doc. 73-13407), as applied to the words “or effect” in both places they appear in 28 C.F.R. 42.104(b)(3), and as applied to 28 C.F.R. 42.104(b)(6)(ii) and 28 C.F.R. 42.104(c)(2) in full.”

enforcing the civil rights act has nothing to do with combating racism? hahaha

you bigot!

Of course, this is yet another attempt at inversion.

This EO is specifically designed to discourage enforcing Civil Rights legislation.

It uses the same tactic that Roberts used when undermining the Voting Rights Act.Roberts used the excuse that DoJ found little evidence that states were actively trying to keep minorities from voting.

The day after the ruling, voter suppression laws were introduced in Georgia. In less than a year, nearly every Dixiecrat state did so. In Texas, Republicans used the exact same language that their Jim Crow ancestors did when introducing theirs.

But this ‘look the other way” approach has survived in the wake of GOP congresses and Trump.

Trump’s clear intention is to stop the Federal government from enforcing Civil Rights laws.

Still arguing over a Daily Kos fabrication! Next, try debating how many democrat demons can dance on the head of a pin.

In a sweeping move that civil rights advocates say could unravel decades of progress toward racial and gender equity, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday that seeks to dismantle a key legal tool for combating systemic discrimination: disparate-impact liability.

The order, titled Restoring Equality of Opportunity and Meritocracy, frames itself as a defense of "colorblind" principles, arguing that policies considering race or gender in any way— even unintentionally— undermine meritocracy. But legal experts and activists warn that the directive could gut enforcement of landmark civil rights laws, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, by making it nearly impossible to challenge discriminatory practices that disproportionately harm marginalized groups.

When I read the article title, I thought it was a joke. It was not. trump is intent on turning back the racial clock to the 50's. Please do not tell me that trump is not a racist. That will not fly anymore. I hope all the minorities that voted for this man have learned a lesson. trump on lies when his lips are moving. LESSON LEARNED!
dailykos? Really? Don't you think they might be biased?

Another in long line of examples of 47 exceeding his authority. The Civil Rights of 1964 was passed by the House and the Senate and as such can be overturned by the House and the Senate. 47 does NOT now the authority to under a law passed by Congress. Just his tariffs, Congress must first pass legislation authorizing tariffs. He cannot act without the authority of Congress and he does NOT have it.
