WASHINGTON -- Fewer than 4 in 10 U.S. voters approve of President Donald Trump's performance in office, according to a Marist College poll released after the bombing attack in Syria.

They also expressed dissatisfaction with the way Trump was handling foreign policy, said the county's international role was diminished under his administration, and said they had little or no trust in the president to make the right decision in an international crisis.

"As tensions mount, President Trump is facing a critical test as Commander in Chief," said Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion. "Instead of a rally 'round the flag effect, Americans are still looking for President Trump to provide leadership and more careful planning to arrive at sound policies."

Trumps low approval ratings along with the FBI's-Comey's continuing investigation on the Trump's admin. treasonous behavior over the elections could cause Republicant's to loose the 2018 mid-terms.

Almost half of white voters disapprove of Trump's performance so far, as do 77 percent of non-whites.
Quinnipiac poll found that 61 percent think Trump doesn't share their values, 57 percent think he doesn't care about Americans, and 52 percent say they're embarrassed to have him as president.

More importantly, 70 percent of voters disapprove of the job Republicans are doing. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan received a 28 percent approval rating, and an astonishingly low 14 percent approve of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The national polls do look bad but broken down by states and Congressional seats the Rs are doing well. In blue states and districts they are lucky if they out poll the LP or Greens.
