Trump's removal from office sole focus of college course

The class will cover “grounds for impeachment, removal, or indictment” such as “conflict of interests, foreign emoluments, climate change, racism, religious bias, improper influence, nepotism, and a host of crimes, including conspiracy, false statements, and obstruction of justice.”
Hopefully this will teach these young people about the political process involved in impeachment so they can give up hope and stop trying to unseat a duly elected president.
:dunno:

Naw, the alt-left isn't unhinged. There is no confusion as to why Americans say they need better skilled workers, how in the hell does this help ANY future employer?

Trump's removal from office sole focus of college course

A California university is offering a class focused solely on the topic of removing President Trump from office.

San Diego State University is offering a one-unit course in March called “Trump: Impeachment, Removal or Conviction?” taught by Professor John Joseph Cleary.

“Focus will be on the two constitutional grounds: impeachment and removal (25th Amendment), and the possible charges of the independent counsel,” the course description reads in part, as first reported by university watchdog group, Campus Reform.

The class will cover “grounds for impeachment, removal, or indictment” such as “conflict of interests, foreign emoluments, climate change, racism, religious bias, improper influence, nepotism, and a host of crimes, including conspiracy, false statements, and obstruction of justice.”
For tangible, vetted & documented class resources... shouldn't they include Bill Clinton & Nixon in the preponderance of the syllabus...?

Sometimes it is valuable to be able to think. The class is not solely focused on Trump"s removal from office, except for little minds. It is a typical college course, looking at the issue of impeachment. Which is rational enough, because in my humble but correct opinion, most people do not understand fully what the process is. So, perhaps not such a bad class, depending on what the Major of those taking the class is. Looks to be a rational class for history or legal students.

I would guess it in fact does. Most classes of that type would. But too many people are trying to make the prof and the class anti trump. Without proof. I have degrees, and since worked off and on with college professors and never saw partiality regarding politics. I only see that from politically leaning cons and libs.

Impeachment has been taught in many college courses and probably in many high school classes in the past. It is part of history and political science. From some posters take on impeachment it still seems to fill a need.

The noxious gas formed by rotting human feces in San Diego must have some sort of poisonous effect on the thinking in the city.

The title of the course clearly states its all about Trump, not impeachment in general.

You really think that open discourse is going to happen in this course? It's going to be some agitprop lefty twit professor ranting for 60 minutes, and woe to any student who challenges his views on the whole thing.

No.. A class on Impeachment wouldn't have Trump's name in the Title. Don't think you meet the prereqs for that class..

Truth in labeling and all that..

I'd love to get a gander at the students who sign up for this class.

Actually, it sounds pretty good to me. He's not assuming they'll find cause to impeach Trump, after all --- the class may well conclude what most of us think, that if they didn't impeach ol' Bill Clinton, ain't gonna impeach nobody. But it should give students a good comprehensive basis for constitutional law and history.

Hey, it's got to be more educational than one I know of, a course on the Grateful Dead (really), or all these crazy courses that glorify the alleged achievements of blacks and lesbian feminists. Many such courses are required now: people HAVE to pay for that trash, to get a degree.

People so badly need some other way to get an education than this leftwing indoctrination -- it's no surprise to me that smart young men are dropping out and not bothering with college. Not having credentials is the new credentials.

Depends on when you went to college I suppose. Or if you strongly agree with your professors, you probably think they aren't biased at all.

In my day I couldn't tell you the political leanings or religion of any of my professors even though both were freely demonstrated, expressed, and celebrated on campus. The reason was that we were taught real subjects and were encouraged to engage in critical thinking even as we were required to be respectful of one another or any invited visitors to campus. And we were not graded off when we disagreed with each other.

And yes, my poli-sci classes included a lot of Constitution and government processes including impeachment.

Now I run across a lot of younger college graduates who have a lot of promise, and those who lean right all agree that they had to lie like rugs during discussion and write like communists on their papers to get the grades they wanted.\

Colleges are no longer institutions of higher learning but are rather very expensive indoctrination centers.

Also, notice the narrow and purely assumptive options in the title, "impeachment, removal or conviction". Nice scientific approach to such a heavy process against the president.

Why not "Trump: innocent, Witchunt or why in the f is the alt-left wasting their time trying to sell this bs"?

Yeah, our Government Schools haven't been hijacked by Communist/Democrat cretins. No way, not possible.

Boy, Government Schools are a nightmare at this point. Parents really need to be aware of that.
