Oh dear, do you just come along with a line and put it in anywhere. The UK has been run by the Tories and experiencing austerity for the past 12 years. There has hardly been an increase in pay during that time despite inflation.

As the new chancellor rips up her budget she is in hiding. She has refused to attend the commons to anser an urgent question on the collapse of her policies.

Perhaps she is going to resign. I would think it would be difficult to rule if economics is the opposite of what you wanted and promised to put in and by Hunt making the time when we will get help for our energy bills only a quarter of what she promised, she doesn't even have the ability to try to present herself as the 'good gal'. I suspect she will go. It has to be better than a PM who clearly is not allowed to initiate anything! When I was listening about this at lunchtime the reporter said it was the first time he knew of that a budget was designed to make outside markets happy.

Cuts to public services as well. What is left to cut?

yes, I think she will have to and I don't think anyone would have the stomach for this. Even as an MP it would be difficult to go back to. She has to go but what happens then - another 6 months to get the next one?

They have not however changed their ideas on Bankers Bonuses. Bankers Bonus can now go back to being 2 or 3 times their Salary. When asked in Parliament the Chancellor said that they would make more money doing this. Hmmm what is that saying?

Well I have to be cautious of that in that Labour members voted for Corbyn. Had he been PM they likely would have been the same to him. Seems 'the markets' are running the world now. I am glad with what Truss was trying but I would not like them doing it to Corbyn, assuming the US had not immediately managed his assassination.

Hunt sounds far too confident for my liking and when told that the British people had experienced nothing but austerity from 2010-2015 and did not want to again - and it will be far far worse,, he responded by saying they provided Furlow as if they were so very caring and did not need to give working people any more help ever again. He has no understanding of what it is like to be a working person in the UK. The reason for Furlow was to try and keep people in jobs and stop them going out and giving everyone the dangerous covid. If Hunt and other party members ignore any calls for her to go, calls for a General Election and manage to stay confident while doing heer job without her, they could even get away with it.

I think there's quite a bit left!.. as Nick Clegg pointed out once, when the going gets a bit tough the Tories resort to type and then some, (he had veto billions in cuts) and 'slash and burn'.. will this be the last straw for the voters?.. time it will tell, time it will tell..

I thought according to the 1922 rule she was guaranteed for at least a year, however, she can be thrown in the bin.. "Under Tory party rules, a new leader cannot be challenged through official procedures for at least a year after entering office. But there are other routes. MPs say that if at least half the parliamentary party wanted Truss gone (that is the case already) and they all write to 1922 committee chair Graham Brady to say so, he would then feel obliged to visit the PM and tell her the game was up." Ok.

It would be a slight shame, for me only in the country I think, as I had only just discovered at the tory conference..
