The Pentagon stated Tuesday that nearly 450 American citizens are still in Afghanistan following August’s U.S. military withdrawal, more than the Biden administration has previously claimed.

There is no way that finally extracting the United States from Dubya's seemingly interminable quagmire was going to be pretty.

Most Americans are grateful a president finally had the gumption to get out.

I don't even think that Pompeo excluding the feeble Afghan government when he negotiated with Taliban, releasing thousands of prisoners to appease them, had much impact in the long run.

Trump made the decision to leave Afghanistan and negotiated to do so with the Taliban....and once again Biden tried to take credit for something TRUMP did.

Biden was in charge of executing the withdrawal - carrying out Trump's plan....and he fucked it up. HE left Americans - and US allies - in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
