I can find no details on these pardoned MURDERERS. Seems like a slap on n the face to the families of their victims.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has pardoned two individuals and commuted the sentences of three others, including two inmates who were convicted of first-degree murder and would otherwise spend the rest of their lives in prison.

Okay, I found the information at the end of the article:

Hayes was sentenced to probation for domestic violence and minor in possession in 2003 and unlawful driving away of an automobile in 2004 in Ionia County, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections. In 2005, in Barry County, he was sentenced on an attempted larceny charge.
All of those offenses occurred when Hayes was under the age of 18, Whitmer's office said. Hayes later started an e-commerce business and "wishes to pursue a career in the military or law enforcement."

These sentences get commuted

Sentences for Charles Malone, Maxie Johnson Jr. and Ricardo Hart were commuted Wednesday by Whitmer, which means their sentences were shortened and they become immediately eligible for parole. The commutation does not erase the convictions from their record.
Malone was sentenced in 2007 in Muskegon County to 22 to 50 years years in prison for a nonviolent drug offense related to cocaine, according to the MDOC. He's so far served 18 years.

Johnson was convicted of first degree murder out of Wayne County in 1991, according to the Department of Corrections, and has served 33 years of a sentence of life in prison without parole. Whitmer's office said Johnson's crime was committed "against a person who subjected him to abuse."
Hart was convicted of first degree murder in Washtenaw County in 1984, according to the Corrections Department, and has served 40 years of a sentence of life in prison without parole. Whitmer's office said Hart's conviction was based on "an accomplice theory for a murder committed outside of Hart's presence by a person who has since been released from prison."

Abbott was right in this case

Foster was openly carrying an assault-style rifle – legal in Texas – and approached Perry’s car and motioned for him to lower his window, at which point Perry fatally shot him with a handgun, prosecutors said.
