Victor Martinez-Hernandez

No, Victor Martinez-Hernandez (the subject of this thread) is in the United States, he has not been deported, yet he brutally slaughtered a young American woman last year and was found guilty of her murder recently.

I'm astounded that ICE are not already cuffing him and putting him on a plane.
Oops. You got me on that. Mixed up two people. They all look alike to me.

This illegal alien from El Salvador has been convicted of a brutal murder, a horrifying crime against a young American woman.

It seems he will be sentenced to life in a US prison, he had a fair trial and can likely appeal and so on.

Meanwhile some men who have not murdered anyone or even been charged with any crime, have been deported (some are not even from El Salvador) are incarcerated to (effectively) a life sentence in CECOT in El Salvador, they had no trial, have no ability to appeal and have no release date.

Some have even been sent there by mistake.

I've not heard a peep out of Rubio or Trump about deporting this man back to El Salvador, life in a US high security prison is no picnic but compared to CECOT it kind of is.

How should one make sense of this? Might illegal aliens fearing deportation to CECOT, now kill someone in order to get a US trial and a US prison sentence?
Yeah, you don't have to be convicted of a crime in the United States to be deported....is this somehow news to you?

Seems that actually being a convicted criminal helps one's case even. This woman has an apartment in Manhattan, stars in TV shows yet has been and still is, an illegal alien with no visa or work permit and even committed fraud while living here illegally yet she seems safe from the fate that has befallen others, some of whom apparently have no convictions.

From what I gather her case is pending and has been for years, I see absolutely no grounds for her to remain from what I understand about the law, yet she is and she's "fighting" her case, but what case can she possibly have?

She checks all the boxes for deportation and ten year ban on reentry, I do not see how she can ever expect to be given a right to remain by an immigration judge. She has given the finger to the US as well as all those legal immigrants who follow the rules, she is a classic textbook example of what the administration campaigned on and it makes a mockery of everything Trump says.

Why aren't ICE knocking on her door...

Certainly being convicted makes it easier but it’s necessary for someone to be deported

Take Garcia’s case. He was here illegally to begin with

You mean the man who was deported in "error"?

Why aren't ICE knocking on her door...

I have a solution! Send him to CECOT. That would only be fair.
He might still be sent there. After all we are paying El Salvador to house criminals, particularly El Salvadoran criminals. Left here, someday, some leftist will cry for his release. Send him somewhere where he will be forgotten.

Actually, we're paying them to house Venezuelan thugs. I think we should finance several more prisons and deposit ALL gang member there.
