According to the rabidly anti-gun VPC, firearms were used 284,700 times in self-defense against violent and property crime, 2013-2015; this averages to 94,900 defensive uses per year.

2013-2015
Gun-related murders: 26,194
Gun related suicides: 64,579
Accidental deaths: 1,455

Thus:
For every gun used to commit murder, >10.8 are used in self-defense
For every gun used to commit suicide, >4.4 are used in self defense
For every accidental gun-related death, >64.6 are used in self-defense

Democrats don't care if we have guns. What bugs them is we are able to take care of ourselves by using them.

Democrats rely on government dependents and victims. The more the merrier as far as they are concerned. If we ever had a country without victims and government dependents, there would be no Democrat party. What would we need them around for?

The key to their success is to create more of both. Disarm the public and that leaves us with only the cops and criminals having guns. This makes every law abiding citizen a victim.
