Walmart says tax bill allowed raise hikes

How how much would those workers cost taxpayers in public assistance if they were to become unemployed?

I think that was the same exact "argument" made by John C.Calhoun to abolitionists......

It is rather amazing how easily right wing Americans are so easily fooled.

Walmart is "praising" Trump for giving its workers a raise (while shutting down over 60 stores...Sam's Club)

Here's a dose of reality and YOU tell us if Walmart needed a "tax cut":

How much does Walmart make a year in profits? With fiscal year 2016 revenue of $482.1 billion,

and YET,

Walmart Workers Cost Taxpayers $6.2 Billion In Public Assistance

Here's a link:
Report: Walmart Workers Cost Taxpayers $6.2 Billion In Public Assistance
That is not Walmart's fault. The government has and does establish who collects those monies, not Walmart. How dumb are you people?

So,an idiot like you "assumes" that the Waltons are NOT fully aware of the income threshold to qualify for welfare benefits???

Are you here stating that the Waltons DO NOT know how many of their employees are in need of food stamps and Medicaid?

You do realize that the closing of those stores has probably been in the works since before the tax bill was passed don't you?

And do you really think a business is obligated to keep branches open that are losing money ?

It does not matter if they know. It is still the government that qualifies people for aid not Walmart. End of story and your lying thread.

It's not Walmart's responsibility to keep anybody off of welfare. Where did you leftists get this belief that businesses open up as a social obligation?

Good thing all of their employees are free to go out and find a different job...dumbass.

You of all people should be thrilled. The left constantly rags on Walmart hoping they would close down some day. So you got part of your wish: they are closing down stores. You should be celebrating. It's an American business failure which should be a festive occasion for liberals around the entire country.

Like Walmart couldn’t afford that before with all of their profits. Conservatives are such suckers

If you knew anything about business you'd realize that profit is less a factor than growth. Walmart had a less than 3% growth since last year so it's not all that impressive and probably the reason they started closing down less performing stores.

It's difficult to attract investors with a 3% growth especially during an economy like we have today.

Sure I do.....tell your moronic ilk then to NOT praise the orange buffoon for walmart raising wages....Look at the fucking title of this thread.

The Real Reason Walmart Raised Its Minimum Wage

but according to the liberal media, Democrats are the REAL behind the scenes heroes

Cherry pick much?

The Waltons support Trump so they're going to try to give him a boost, but here's the facts.

What a waste of cyber space.....

NOW, its the government's "fault" for qualifying people for food stamps ALTHOUGH they work full time for Walmart and make so fucking little that taxpayers have to subsidize their meager salaries...

Do you fuck heads realize that the Waltons LAUGH at morons like you that actually defend them???

Each of the 4 Waltons....who never worked a day in their miserable lives is worth $45 BILLION and don't give a fucking dime to charity and rely on idiots like right wing taxpayers to augment their workers.

WalMart is reorganizing because Amazon has kicked their filthy ass in the dirt. Jeff Bezos outsmarted them.
But the Waltons will give a phony tip of the hat to Trump because they are autocrats, too.

It's not Walmart's responsibility to keep anybody off of welfare. Where did you leftists get this belief that businesses open up as a social obligation?

So, moron, do you APPLAUD tax breaks for the Waltons??....
I though you idiots wanted the tax breaks to "stimulate" the economy for ALL workers and not to subsidize the Waltons billions??..........LOL
