They actually produce positive harm. The public would be better off if they were eliminated. For example, we wouldn't have to deal with common core if the got rid of the Dept. of Education.

The Dept of Education provides only ten percent of the education dollar and enables states to share programs and resources

EPA is desperately needed

The other three receive minimal funding and provide a public service

Their spending bill added another 1.5 trillion or so

But programs that actually help the middle class and poor have to go.

No, eliminate the Dept of Ed...it is not necessary and there is a clear correlation between the creation of the Dept of Ed and the drop in US student rankings vs the rest of the world.
