"We the People of the United States"

The term equal protection is, in and of itself, ambiguous.

Taken to the extreme it means that there can be no differences between the states when it comes to anything....like school funding.

Due Process is also left entirely up to the courts to judge. There is little there that defines when people have received said "due process" and Jim Crow laws are a perfect example of how the amendment failed anyway.

So, you might want to climb out of whatever ivory tower you are holed up in and get into the real world.

She wants to "shred" the Constitution?.....the 14th amendment is AN AMENDMENT ITSELF.
All she wants to do is (apparently) amend the constitution. The 14th amendment is the only amendment "reconsidered" under coercive threat. Which shouldn't be considered passed legitimately.

Regardless it doesn't give illegal aliens citizenship so the parents could still be deported....if they care for their kids the kids would presumably go with them.

i see. what's your constitutional basis for that? because my reading of the 14th amendment does not say anything about a person's immigration status.
