This delay in congress is ridiculous. We passed a repeal bill two years ago. Just pass it again and stop with this Obamacare lite bs.

We need a new speaker and senate leader. Get the freedom caucus in charge.

Their refusal to do their job is bs.

You got one thing correct, the Ryan H. of Rep. runs on bullshit, and of course Ryan's ambition for POTUS will become evident in 2019.

If the Congress repeals the PPACA millions will lose their health insurance, jobs will be lost in the health care industry, and the cost to local and state governments will be enormous.

Members of Congress have one priority which supersedes all others, their job security.

Also many Trump supporters now realize Obamacare was the ACA and now they like it.:lmao::lol::lol::lmao:

Of course those coal miners with black lung disease want those coal mines to start back up for their families sake, its a generational thing to have black lung disease. They want to make sure their children and their children are able to have jobs and not have to leave the area.
:omg::omg::omg::wtf:

Republicans need to show unity and compromise. They can pass a bill repealing the ACA and making the effective date of repeal a year from now, or two years from now, in order to facilitate transition. In other words, they do not have to have a replacement ready to pass on day 1 following the signing of a repeal bill.

As far as the left's apocalyptic outlook of a world devoid of Obamacare, all of the doomsday stats are based upon the false premise that repeal is done in a vacuum. There will be one system or another in place post ACA. Even without a law to replace the ACA, the market will naturally take over and market forces will regulate. The extreme losses of insurance and jobs is false.

I gather you are not one of the 20000000+ who are covered by the Affordable Care Act who had no health coverage before it.

Yanking someone's health insurance away from them about a week before their newborn has surgery scheduled to repair a congenital hole in the heart is enough to make most republicans droll in delight!

The law does not need a replacement. Allow cross state line sales. Create low income pools that are subsidized for the poorest among us. Create health savings accounts.

Done.

Dear Avatar4321
What's wrong with the proposal to shift the OPTION to keep Obamacare TO THE STATES.

GOP senators: Give states the option of keeping ObamaCare
https://www.usnews.com/news/health-...senators-introduce-obamacare-replacement-plan

By shifting health care to the States,
Governors and party leaders can set up a scheduled
agreement with their respective party members/populations
that the gradually increasing % of coverage will be proportionate
to commensurate changes and savings in PRISON care spending.

Ie the more States reduce crime and save on prison costs,
the more resources can cover more health care for more of the population.

Instead of federal welfare, the message is:
In order for STATES to have funds to cover their populations and health care demands,
the PEOPLE of those STATES have to collaborate to reduce crime and costs of
prosecution and incarceration, so the resources spent on crime can go toward health care.
They will basically reward themselves and law abiding behavior with health care
coverage, while people contributing to costs of crime will either require counseling
to stop this pattern we cannot afford, or be evicted from districts that start enforcing
agreements and ordinances (similar to homeowner/civic association ordinances).

If people of districts and state reclaim control of where our taxes and resources go,
we can develop existing school/prison/mental health facilities to host medical training, education , research and public health outreach in prevention. So the focus on preventative health to be more cost effective and sustainable in breaking the cycle of mental and criminal illness that otherwise leads to more expensive addiction and crime.

Over time, we can STOP the WASTE on drugs and addictions including pharm contracts and profits, and crime/trafficking based in part on drug demands. So gradually as we reduce the waste on crime, we increase health care coverage and reward taxpayers and law abiding citizens (instead of punishing working taxpayers by paying 2-3 times for crimes committed by other people, and then being expected to pay more taxes for health care which is ridiculous and unjust).

Obamacare is safer than gasoline being replaced.

SUCKERS !

Across state lines and have tried and failed. We only have a few large insurance companies in the US, no low pools also do not work. Make insurance companies get on the exchanges and enforce mandatory HI laws. Nothing has worked previous to the ACA and in many GOP states its has not worked due to GOP influence. We need gov control, at least we can vote reps, senators, and governors in office, but we do not stand a chance against insurance companies. This is why we will become a Democratic maj once again, you GOP are too greedy.

Everything is going to be fine! Trump is going to insure EVERYBODY! Not only will he keep guaranteed issue, with no pre-existing conditions exclusions or limitations, but it will be cheaper! Also, everyone who goes to the doctor will get a lollipop, and a pat on the head with an"Attaboy", along with a blue star on their chart!

No need to despair, if you are not on Medicare, you can get help with the ACA.

Won't work. Really people had to change doctors, how about all the people who finally got one.

Dear Grampa Murked U
Excsue me but the mandates have got to change.
That's called taxation without representation, collective punishment, and involuntary servitude:
It's unconstitutional to deprive citizens of liberty without due process to prove WHICH people committed WHICH abuses or crimes.

That's fine to force people to pay who CHOOSE to be under federalized health care.
But for those who don't, it's equally unconstitutional to
* force us to be under policies that violate Constitutional beliefs, laws and/or principles and process
* force us to pay for programs we don't believe in when there are plenty of other alternatives out there
Just because govt or party leaders fail to pursue any other alternatives
does not constitute a "compelling govt interest" to force citizens under the plans they did craft.

Citizens who aren't represented by those plans have equal right to fund and choose alternatives.
That part has to change, as it always has been and remains in violation of basic Constitutional principles.

Boehnerhead and the Boys kept the idiots fired up for 8 years killing Obamacare 60 times. Trump got elected promising the same idiots he would Kill Obamacare.

Trumps already walked back killing to changing parts ...

and it still hasn't dawned on the simpletons whats going on.

LMAO

Trump, and the GOP, do not need the Tea Party anymore.

They've already shot it in the head, and kicked it in the ditch.

Trump wants to spend a trillion dollars putting union workers back to work. That should have guys like you crapping their drawers

"Market forces will regulate"???

Health Insurance Premiums Up 131% in Last Ten Years | TIME.com

"Today, the average cost of a family health insurance offered by an employer is $13,375. That’s up 131% over the last decade—a period in which inflation rose only 28%. And one estimate says that if costs continue on their current trajectory, premiums will go up another 166% in the decade ahead"

"Since 1999, health insurance premiums for families rose 131%, the report found, far more than the general rate of inflation, which increased 28% over the same period. Overall, health care in the United States is expected to cost $2.6 trillion this year, or 17% of the nation’s economy, according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office."

"The annual survey of more than 2,000 companies also found that 40% of small-business employees enrolled in individual health plans pay annual deductibles of $1,000 or more. That’s almost twice the number who paid that much in 2007."

The quotes are from the kaiser Foundation dated Sept. 16, 2009.

Note the date of the above article, 09. Mandates are needed and not unconstitutional, its applies to all, so how can that be unconstitutional. Do you have a choice to pay Medicare or SS tax, how about sales tax? You need to insure your body, quit letting other people pay for your care.
