The fact that a school would be ignorant enough to suspend a student for a non violent post involving the shape of an arrangement of soda cans done AT HOME is unbelievable. I think those decision makers will be looking for work after the lucrative settlement is agreed to for violating this student's first amendment rights.

I'm really only saying that to ignore this boy's attempt to gain attention with suggestions of violence, needs to be publicly recognized.

If it's just ignored then he will almost certainly up the ante in some way until he gets the attention he craves.

This won't escalate into a school shooting but it would be allowed to escalate in the direction of violence.

Perhaps only escalated into a fist fight against another student he feels is his political enemy.

And then what reaction from his chosen victim? Get his father's gun and even the score?
