They imagine that a law prohibiting him from running (if he were to be convicted of a crime) would bar him from running. They are wrong in all respects. Even if they charge him, he won’t ever get tried before he runs and wins.Berg doesn't get it. They could care less if Trump goes to prison. That isn't the end game with the
democrats, what is, is that he doesn't run for president. That's all they care about.
But even if he could magically be tried and convicted before running, that law is facially unconstitutional, anyway. The Constitution already says what the eligibility requirements are. Period.
