Like the OP says, the left can't articulate what the exposed emails accomplished. There were no fake emails released.

No, what it was is that the Russians released some stuff, that said some things about some people that might have been taken from someone else and then they said something about servers and then they quoted a newspaper about something that was said in an email somewhere. On top of that, they had some info about emails that were on a servers hard drive that were sent somewhere and read by someone because it was sent to them and then they tried to clean it up and all that.
