In 1963 the top marginal tax bracket was $400,000. In today's dollars that's equivalent to about 3,000,000. So to return to a tax system like that of 1963 income over 3 million would have to be taxed at 91%

In 2007 the top 1% of earners were those over the 410,000 mark. How many of those earned over 3 million? And how much would a 90% tax over 3 million bring in to the government coffers and do you really think the government will lower your taxes by that same amount the 90% tax on those evil rich people are earning?
