"What if we’ve been bluffed? What if Obama never cared if he looked like the loser? What if taking it to Congress was intended to provide him with a mandate NOT to invade Syria all along, and not to set our country up for a war with Iran? It’s pretty slick marketing if this was his agenda,*sticking it to the lobby,*flushing them out*and*pitting them against the American public*. Obama can really really win big by losing Congress, is it worth wondering if that was always in the cards? Only if you’re a dreamer like me. Was Obama bluffing on Syria all along? | Mondoweiss. The very last thing Puntin/Assad want is the US military coming after them. And, its true that the Rs would not do anything that Obama wanted so this put them in a difficult position. You seriously need to work on your imagination skills. He passes the buck to Congress because the American people hated his plan and his party is taking hits. He coulda got lucky and pushed the attack thru and then had Congress to blame if anything went wrong. He also got to dodge challenges to the legality of him using the WPA in this instance.

I find this interesting as well. The party of the Bush WARS in the Middle East is against war in the Middle East now. I swear, if Obama came out pro elefant the GOP would vote to ban elephants from zoo's.

This MAY for a coalition of Tea Party and Hippies that will help the GOP next election. Of course they will probably be as disappointed as the GBay opponents and anti Patriot Act folks are in Obama. But still interesting.
