What is the goal of capitalism?

No, it's not. All the things you're whining about happen in any economic system. It all depends on the character and morality of the people involved.
Ah, Morality... Of course, if you only explain to the capitalist the immorality of exploitation very well, he will certainly understand everything and the reign of justice and happiness will come.... I wonder what the Church has been doing for two thousand years...?

All kinds of heinous shit. Why are you wondering about that?

Capitalism is impossible without external plunder. If it were not so, we would see whole blocs of prosperous countries that do not have a single foreign military base, and their intelligence services would not meddle in the affairs of their neighbors because soft power and the invisible hand of the market would suffice.

Nonsense. Empire building happens under socialism as well. Free trade works fine without expansionist foreign policy, or any other corporatist collusion.

Every individual owns their own business. No employees. You grow your own business without hiring. It could so easily be done.
? .. so one person would have to build a car, for example, all by themselves?

Capitalism would work best if every individual owned their own business and did not hire.
Good idea for 15 century. But even then, it wouldn't work.
A quote from one SF novel: "Our society is absolutely free and even the last poor man has at least two slaves"

"It is difficult for me to imagine what 'personal liberty' is enjoyed by an unemployed hungry person" - Stalin

Joe doesn't have much of an imagination. Perhaps he should ask a former slave.

The goal of capitalism is for the employer to get the most from the employee for the least. The goal of the employee is to get the most for the least amount of work. Capitalism is about the nastiness between the two forces. The above is america defined.

As opposed to communism where you pretend to work and they pretend to pay you.

Why bring up communism? Are you refuting anything I typed? The two sides are at odds. And you bring up communism. Nice FAIL.

Capitalism is the best system going. Effort is directly tied to wages. If one accepts less wages they know their best effort is not expected. More wages is more effort. It's what defines american capitalism.

If that were true, there wouldn’t be unbelievable income inequality in this country.

We are told that unemployment is necessary for the economy to be more efficient because the risk of being fired will keep workers energized. I can imagine how efficient the economy was under slavery when the worker had the risk of being punished by death.

And you belived it? I've never been told that. Sounds like nonsense to me.

You have valitantly defeated your strawman! Take a victory lap.
