Over the last 48 hours, multiple liberal outlets (including the Washington Post) equated free speech with mass murder, and blamed Elon Musk for large numbers of people soon to die -- without including a single person who disagreed with this insanity.

There is no ‘attack’ on ‘free speech’ – moreover, neither ‘cancel culture’ nor ‘cultural Marxism’ exist, both are ridiculous contrivances of the right.

Indeed, lying about ‘free speech’ being ‘under attack,’ lying about ‘cancel culture’ and ‘cultural Marxism’ are among the greatest threats to liberty – using misinformation, conspiracy theories, and lies as political weapons in the right’s war on democracy, facts, and the truth.

The doctrine of free speech concerns solely the relationship between government and those governed, not between or among private persons and private entities.

Only government has the power to regulate, limit, or preempt free speech, not private citizens.

Private citizens who in the context of private society denounce rightwing hate speech, rightwing racism, bigotry, and hate are not ‘attacking’ free speech; conservatives remain at liberty to propagate their hatred and lies.

Now, if a lawmaking body were to pass a law making it illegal to engage in hate speech, where those who engage in hate speech were subject to arrest, prosecution, and imprisonment, then and only then would we have an example of an attack on free speech.

But no such laws exist, no such arrests are taking place, rendering it a lie to claim that ‘free speech’ is ‘under attack.’

Ron Paul remains just another dishonest demagogue and liar.
