The biggest propagators of fake news: the U.S. government.

In the midst of the media’s sudden headline-blaring apoplexy over fake news, you won’t hear much about the government’s role in producing, planting and peddling propaganda-driven fake news—often with the help of the corporate news media—because that’s not how the game works.

Why?

Because the powers-that-be don’t want us skeptical of the government’s message or its corporate accomplices in the mainstream media. They don’t want us to be more discerning when it comes to what information we digest online. They just want us to be leery of independent or alternative news sources while trusting them—and their corporate colleagues—to vet the news for us.

This list contains the culprits who told us that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and lied us into multiple bogus wars. These are the news sources that told us "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor." They told us that Hillary Clinton had a 98% of winning the election. They tell us in a never-ending loop that "The economy is in great shape!"

This is the real Fake News List (and it's sourced):

"Fake News" is code for censorship.
So I figure Facebook's dickhead founder is going to suffer massive losses if he doesn't stop talking about combating "Fake News".

Yes, indeed.

The government controlled media whose polls "showed" a 98% probability that Killary was going to win are , of course, exempted.

Mainstream Media Goes Full McCarthyite

Today’s NPR Evening Edition discussed some recent Trump appointments. Senator Jeff Sessions, Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, was described as a racist. Anybody with any familiarity with Sessions knows that this is a complete falsehood. He isn’t remotely a racist.

The basis for using the label is the claim of a single person, now dead, that in the 1970’s Sessions had used the phrase “white folks,” which Sessions said had been just “folks.” There was also a joke from the same era about KKK’ers smoking pot. Note that this was over a quarter century ago.

Glaring Hypocrisy

There’s been much written about “fake news” shared on Facebook being a contributing factor in the outcome of the US election. In other words, the overwhelming majority of media outlets that supported Clinton were undermined — or trumped, depending on your perspective — by alternative news sites that, heaven forbid, actually reported on Clinton’s criminality and satanic connections (financial crimes, weapons deals, trail of dead bodies, Podesta email revelations, etc.) rather than focusing on the illegal use of a private email server."
