Where is the Constitution mentioned in this election?

The one thing that scares me the most about this election is the absence of the US Constitution. No matter what both sides think of the other, the Constitution is still the law of the land and should be the basis for any National Election. Both candidates owe the American people an explanation on how they will protect, observe, and obey the US Constitution while serving their constituents. I have only heard the Constitution mentioned a hand full of times by either candidate and that scares the heck out of me.
