Why are civilians being told not to help in hurricane relief?

Not according to the people I see being interviewed on TV as recently as last night.
Sure. You can find someone to tell you the 2020 election was stolen but let's not mince words, its a disaster so no one is happy about the disaster but the response has been strong.

Not even close.
Ok. Sure. Where you getting this from? Twitter? I am getting feedback from my eyes and people who live there. Its not disney world. They have no water, roads are messed up, you cant go some ways but there is a lot of help.

To me it is incomprehensible. Buttigieg has apparently stopped all civilian airplanes, helicopters and drones from being able to help with the hurricane search, rescue or help restore the supply chain. And now they're apparently stopping Elon Musk/Trump from helping provide communications with Starlink. How in the world does a good government stop good people from stepping up to help? For what purpose?

The FEMA website gushes glowing reports of all the wonderful and effective work they are doing in the Hurricane relief even as Mayorkas said FEMA is out of money--at least until he was instructed to stop saying it--while those on the ground on Day 8 after the hurricane first hit say they haven't seen FEMA personnel anywhere and the body count continues to pile up. Would the government lie on their FEMA website?

So what's going on? What is the Administration trying to hide? From the outside it looks like they are desperate to hide their incompetence, ineffectiveness and downright malfeasance in carrying out their responsibilities.

Not hard to figure out:
1. The regime wants to control everything.
2. The regime doesn't want pictures getting out.
3. The regime thinks there is a political advantage to slowing down the relief efforts.

We are not talking about 2020 and your effort to divert from the topic is noted, but the people I see on television do not see the response as strong. The people being denied opportunity to help do not see the response as strong. That people are still dying who could have been helped suggests the response is not strong enough.

I honestly don't think they intentionally slowed down the relief efforts. I just think their DEI and 'equity' policies have put people in positions where they don't know what the hell to do or how to do it.

I do strongly suspect their refusal to allow volunteer outside help is politically motivated. Whatever disaster relief is provided, they want Biden/Harris to get the credit. It is an election year.

This situation reminds me of a story from back during the cold War. Some towns mayor, or such kept petitioning the Government to build a bridge to connect his town to a highway, or other town or something. After having been shut down time, and again...
In a hail Mary he wrote a letter to the Kremlin explaining his towns plight, and the Soviets promptly agreed to help this mayor, and get the bridge built. Washington promptly shut this endeavor down. But....
That bridge got built quick, fast, and in a hurry. Funny how that works...

Im getting info from people who live there. They're helping themselves and people are bringing supplies. Fed govt is way behind. I may go over next week to help.

It isn't just that. They need to make sure the right people are involved in this. And by right people I'm referring to the "industrial" aspect of the MIC. The ones who profit from exclusive contracts for food, medicine, transportation, construction, and management. There is gonna be a whole lot of Federal money flowing into certain companies, and groups hands. And making sure everyone involved is on that "list", and coordinating them to work in sync; takes time.

The civies are are quicker to the draw on this because their primary concern is aiding these people. The governments primary concern is making sure all the right people, get a piece of the payout for helping these people.

Oddball suggested that too, that the government is giving their cronies the green light to participate in relief efforts and that's why they are shutting everybody else out. If that is the case, and it increase pain, suffering and deaths, all the more reason to see the government as committing gross malfeasance and even bordering on treason.

That's exactly what is happening.

That's how the "socialism" that the left pines for works (for no better word to put in there).

The only "help" you get is that which comes from the "helpers".

Have a fren in Hendersonville, the next town over from Asheville...Says the town is self-organized and self-policing.

I was just there. Here is a live stream from downtown Hendersonville.
