Why isn't this cop in jail?

Once the grand jury determines if he should be charged then there will be a trial, if he is found guilty, then he will be locked up.
That's how it works.

Well, I have seen many a post recently indicating a lot of people think the Grand Jury process can be skipped, and arrested persons taken directly to a trial, ignoring the Constititution.
