Why should companys pay a living wage when the government don't?

Every one always harps on huge companys like Wal-Mart for not paying a living wage and some of it's employees on food stamps, so why don't you ever complain about the government?


Nearly $104,000,000 million worth of food stamps was redeemed at military commissaries in the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2013 alone. This does NOT include any grocery story where the military user did not shop at the commissary on base. Many do not use the commissary for many reasons. This ups the number to almost 200,000,000 million in food stamps use for military families.

The above men and women put their lives on the line daily for this country and are not paid a living wage. Why is that? Its not just "evil Wal-Mart". Federal and state government don't pay living wages as well. So where is the outrage for Joe Schmuck when he or she signs on to die in a fire, war or in some fire fight with a bad guy on the road

Write your local Congresscritter and pressure them to pay our people a living wage. The money is there. Congressional Republicans were all too happy to pass hundreds of billions on a fighter jet that can't withstand lightning, but then tighten up when it comes to helping real people. Get on their case and things will change.

The problem is not the minimum wage................It is the destruction of the value of the dollar....................As your buying power dies...............you can buy less for a buck................so you further deflate by giving out more of the money, aka minimum wage increases..................so the prices can go up again...................

We are paying for our stupidity.................electing unmoral Assholes to run this country...............To spend like drunken sailors................until we are in dept up to our asses..................and then there are the Liberal Nut Cases who think we don't spend enough................Yet we now spend more per year Federally, than any Nations GDP on earth......................And the dumb asses still don't get it.

Living wages are not the problem...............Jobs that pay middle income levels have been hauling ass overseas for quite some time...............And the ASSHATS in charge have sent even more overseas via the TPP................So they can hook up their buddies and line their own pockets...................

The government is about the only jobs in America that have retirement and medical security any more. And pay is above national average.

Indeed. 90% of "government" jobs pay FAR more than an average worker makes when you take into account pay, health care and retirement. Is it any wonder that the monster that is government grows at a rate ten times faster than business?
