Like with most other types of government propaganda the average person living the real life in the real world often will scratch their heads and wonder...." What the Fuck are they talking about?" The economy is my favorite one. Changing the definition of the word inflation to suit their own narrative allows the government and those who mouthpiece for them to sneer at people who claim inflation is on the rise.....but those buying groceries, paying energy bills and struggling to make their mortgage payments know better.

The small segment of the investor class who make a good living off of stock market numbers ( very small percentage btw) laugh at the travails of those who still slave out to the 40 hour work week as the dollar implodes to an intrinsic value of 3 cents per unit....something that might actually favor some investors in fact.

Violent Crime is another one of these hinky definitions that they like to play games with. While it is obvious the the average observer that it has become more frequent, more accepted and more likely to occur...the powers that be simply wave a magic definition want to exclude things that were previously included in that category so they can run to the microphone and make the lying announcement that VIOLENT CRIME has decreased. ...once again causing much head scratching and wonderment with the public who is living the life that informs them much better than the OFFICIAL politically correct numbers thank you very much Mr, Lysenko.

Now it the case could be made that communities were too quick to call something a violent crime that wasn't really a violent crime....pressure put on the prison system and the county budgets to house feed and retain prison populations can wield real force when the $$$'s for perks and graft/grift start drying up.

Sooooo....time to redefine and free up some buckaroos no?

Does such a definition change mean that crime has actually gone down as the claim is being made? Or does is really mean that the definition of crime as gone down?
Hmmm....... That people have grown tired of reporting things that never get handled? That police departments have stopped writing down things that they know will never get prosecuted?

ET VOILA! Violent Crimes are down!

Presto chango no problemo!

If a Prosecutor pleads a felony down to a misdemeanor...then that crime isn't counted. The crime still took place. Someone was victimized but as far as the reporting is concerned...it never happened.

Worse yet, lawmakers are unable to write effective laws when crime data is reduced to statistics. A detailed case history becomes a...number.

Yeah right. Fuinny how you trump supporters pull this because crime is down. If Trump was president we wouldn't see this.

You know what's sad, IM2? The people most affected by crime aren't Coastal Elites...it's people of color...especially people of color in urban areas! Urban areas that now have far left DA's put in place by George Soros and the millions that he spent on races across the country. If you really did care about blacks? You'd want something done about crime.

Most people effected by violent crime are white. And the sad thing is that those like you are so entrenched in your racist beliefs that you miss this reality. You will excuse the high numbers of white violence with the use of per capita, but if the populations were the same which ends per capita, many other things would not exist for us thet whites currenty have. Yet whites still have the highest numbers of violent crimes.

Violent crimes often go unsolved in rural areas. When you watch Dateline, you don't see a bunch of black murders, because you don't see all that many unsolved murders in the hood. Instead, what you see is often unsolved rural or suburban crimes. And it is not because they want to hide the black murders. When it comes to the hood Police are going to get somebody, even if it's the wrong person. This is because whites like you just don't pay attention to what is going on in Pleasantville and Stepford because your racism has you believing that violence can only happen especially to people of color in urban ares.

Wrong. You guys reduce things to numbers when it suits your bias. Detail is not your friend because detail makes you go in to the root causes of behavior which is something the right is not very good at.

"You guys." You have to be the most embarrassing racist ever.
