There are so damn many questions regarding the WHY the Trump campaign went out of its way to make "nice" to Putin....and was this deal a quid pro quo for Russian to aid Trump through their hacking of the DNC and giving those findings to Wikileaks?

Manafort said on NBC’s Meet the Press hat the change in language on Ukraine “absolutely did not come from the Trump campaign.”

Eric Brakey, a Maine delegate who identifies as a non-interventionist, said he supported the change, which was pushed in part by the Trump campaign.

“Some staff from the Trump campaign came in and… came back with some language that softened the platform,” Brakey told The Daily Beast. “They didn’t intervene in the platform in most cases. But in that case they had some wisdom to say that maybe we don’t want to be calling… for very, very clear aggressive acts of war against Russia.”

“They substantively changed it,” added Washington, D.C., delegate Rachel Hoff, who was present during the meeting. “It absolutely was my understanding that it was Trump staff.”

According to two Republican delegates, the Trump campaign’s efforts were led in part by J.D. Gordon, a Trump campaign official and a former spokesman at the Pentagon.

Cold War is over. All the elements that led to it, are now gone. There is no reason for hostility with Russia.

These goons don't want to study or learn what really happened.( Uninformed )..Just the kind of people the GOP loves..

The Trump campaign's national-security policy representative for the Republican National Convention, J.D. Gordon, told CNN on Thursday that he pushed to alter an amendment to the GOP's draft policy on Ukraine at the Republican National Convention last year to further align it with President Donald Trump's views.

In January, Gordon told Business Insider that he "never left" his "assigned side table" nor spoke publicly at the GOP national security subcommittee meeting, where the amendment — which originally called for "providing lethal defense weapons" to the Ukrainian army to fend off Russian-backed separatists — was read aloud, debated, and ultimately watered down to "providing appropriate assistance" to Ukraine.

Thank God. Feeding weapons into a conflict we have no interest in, very bad idea.

Too many of the Political Class are still living in the past, operation from reflexive anti-sovietism.

The Cold War is over. We need to face and accept this wonderful change.

Fucking "birthers" at it again

It's called diplomacy. And very wise to soften the language. I'm sick to death of the idiotic sabre rattling from the likes of McCain.

Considering the idiocy of trying to overthrow Assad that gave the world ISIS and a solid reason for a whole country to hate our guts in the west, one would think all would be pleased with not challenging the freaking Russians to a nuclear duel.

Sheesh.
