Will God bring world peace?

We have freewill, so not unless all the world leaders stop making war.

Isaiah 2:3-5 KJV

4 And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.

Isaiah 2:4 does not say God will bring world peace in the way people might imagine.

Isaiah speaks first of what is required of people--a strong faith in God and an obedience to His Law. When the people rise to this level of faith and obedience, Isaiah sees them bringing their differences to Zion where these differences are settled according to God's Law, not on a battlefield. When differences are settled in this manner, then "....they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war."

The first query we must have is, "When will people build a faith this great? When will their obedience to the Law of God be that strong?"

Dunno if you noticed, but peace and no longer learning war comes AFTER He judges and rebukes many people (meaning He is gonna have to do some butt whipping).

After the last great day, when Almighty God comes to judge the world, there will be peace.

Til then?

Not likely, war will be the norm.

Maybe he just meant people wouldnt use swords in war anymore? If so, his prediction came true.

Dunno..............you'd have to ask God about that one.
If he wanted all bad people gone, he probably would have done it a long time ago. He would look pretty silly if he dropped the ball for 200,000 years. Course correcting now would have bad optics.

Wars and rumors of wars. And a whole lot of other horrible things before there will be peace on earth.

The last book of the Bible explains where we are right now, and where we're headed from here.

The problem is, the bible was written by man. Humans are terribly flawed beings and extremely prone to being wrong.
I don't think Isaiah was wrong. Nor Micah, who says the same thing (4:1-4). Both prophets speak not of peace in the world but in Jerusalem, and foreigners will flow to that city, that city ultimately being the new Jerusalem, or the kingdom of God, which, though divided in doctrine and theory, is unified in practice and outlook.

Swords, breastplates, chariots – like trebuchets, ballistae, and other field artillery and siege engines of antiquity are inconceivable for use in modern warfare. Instruments of combat like these are anachronistic to any future conflict. Modern warfare would never resemble what John described in Revelation. That a yet-to-come “Armageddon” will involve such weaponry is a fancy of futurism. Ancient machines of war are the weapons that toppled the ancient lawless regime and commanded an abrupt conclusion to the Jewish Age.
