Well gee, and to think people don't assemble cars by hand and screwdriver anymore.
SINCE 1908
So how is their corporate windfall tax cut.... bringing better and more jobs to America?

And their $1250 bonus was given to them in Twinkies.....how does that really help them or the economy?

Read the article, the twinkies were on top of the $750 cash and $500 401k bonuses.

For the 6% of employees remaining after the massive layoffs, anyways

Times change and companies have to adjust or die. I guess you would rather everyone lost their job so you would have even more of a dead horse to beat.

Practically everyone DID lose their job. A cause for celebration in Trump's Amerika.

How about reducing the prices of their products?

How about you put your $$ where you mouth is and come up with a similar product and sell it for less?

Pay attention:

We are told time after time that corporations don't really pay taxes, they just pass the cost of the taxes on to their customers with higher prices.

Eh?

So now their taxes have been lowered. Shouldn't then the cost that they've been passing along to us be able to be reduced, proportionate to the tax cut?????

WTF, have you never had a job? For all we know maybe they plan on opening another plant, expand existing plants. Dumbass.

You're dodging my point as well.

If you had a point that made any sense you might be right.

Didn't these job cuts happen in Obama's America? 2012?

The bankruptcy was more recent in 2016. Employing robots and 1/20th of their old workforce saved them enough money to give 1-time bonuses instead of raises (even though tax cuts are permanent, not 1--time) for the few employees left.

Dufus thinks Trump was President in 2012.

Here we are again with another thread of the left spewing hatred over low income Ameicans getting to take more money home.

You've never heard people claim that corporations don't pay taxes?

damn good thing that no one lost their job under obama...

The government is borrowing billions so big corporations can painlessly throw their employees a bone.

Why would you support that if your any semblance of a genuine conservative?

Yeah automation, layoffs, and bankruptcy ended up netting enough profit to send employees home with a 1 time bonus and a permanent increase of a bag of twinkie's every month.
Yeah, tell us again how critical $15 an hour is, shitforbrains

OMG YOU ARE RIGHT!

Time to cut NPR, foreign aid to everyone not our BFF's, Planned Parenthood, welfare, etc etc.
We must stop borrowing those billions.

And yet you morons still push minimum wages past the value of the returned labor, speeding up automation of the lowest skilled jobs.

And 500 jobs, although less than 10,000 jobs is still higher than zero jobs.

"The value of returned labor" is the mating call of the cheap employer. Don't employees make all of the money for their employer?

FYI, there is no "speeding up automation" as technology to develop it has hit the wall.

I did the right thing. All of my 280 employees received a $300/mo. increase in pay. If every company did that, the corporate tax cut would actually mean something to the economy.

It's reality, something socialists and progressives try to ignore.

Keep hoping automation doesn't continue, and keep trying to pay people more than they are worth.

The tax cut is permanent

Why not just give them a raise?

Because politics moves in cycles. When Democrats will regain control they'll raise taxes and open the border causing the economy to come to a halt.
