Winning: Hostess Brands Gives Employees $1,250

Well gee, and to think people don't assemble cars by hand and screwdriver anymore.
SINCE 1908
Imagine if Wal-Mart fired 94% of its employees and gave the remaining few a 1 year bonus. Rubes would should "WINNING" from the nation's mountaintops!
but that isn't what has happened, is it?
No it was Hostess. Are you following along?
then why are you bringing in wal mart? like i said, that's not what happened to wal mart nor the topic of conversation. more like a squirrel you're trying to set loose in the convo to keep from having to admit trump is doing pretty good.

Imagine if the DNC fired 94% of its employees.
Change you can believe in.

Imagine if you made an intelligent post.

That would be news.
bigger news if you recognized it.

How about reducing the prices of their products?

How about you put your $$ where you mouth is and come up with a similar product and sell it for less?

Pay attention:

We are told time after time that corporations don't really pay taxes, they just pass the cost of the taxes on to their customers with higher prices.

Eh?

So now their taxes have been lowered. Shouldn't then the cost that they've been passing along to us be able to be reduced, proportionate to the tax cut?????

Why not bring up Wal-Mart? This thread is cheering Hostess for saving money by slashing almost its entire workforce. Nobody wants to respond how they'd feel if Wal Mart did that?

No, they are giving it to their employees. and probably their stockholders.

If people don't want to pay for Twinkies, they don't have to.

But again, if you think you can do it better, and fairer, then have at it.

Hell, at least try making your own twinkies, if enough people do it Hostess goes out of business and you can gloat.

So what you are saying is people who work for Hostess only eat their products?

From the above cited article.....lol

Hostess also said it would select a "product of the week" and provide a multi-pack to every employee every week for one year.

WTF, have you never had a job? For all we know maybe they plan on opening another plant, expand existing plants. Dumbass.

Oh, the ol' Slashdot link.... and of course, the ANONYMOUS person who no one knows...gives us the report...

Not a dodge, I answered it. They are taking the savings and giving some to their employees, and who knows what they are doing with the rest. Upgrades? Investment? Taking GASP profit?

Says the dufus who claims Twinkies are too expensive.

I made the point if that higher taxes raises the price of goods, then logically lower taxes should lower those prices,

unless of course the original premise, mostly repeated by conservatives, is bullshit.

You then have to figure in other market factors, i.e. paying labor, or expansion, etc.

If you RAISE taxes the usual course is to raise prices, however lowering them creates a different synergy since people are already used to the current price.

So how is their corporate windfall tax cut.... bringing better and more jobs to America?

And their $1250 bonus was given to them in Twinkies.....how does that really help them or the economy?
