...before breaking into this Houston-area gun store with a BACKHOE in an attempt to make off with the entire inventory of weapons to sell on the street.

Thank goodness the store owners take the added precaution of locking their firearms in a reinforced vault...but it just goes to show that criminals aren't worried about gun control regulations...if they need guns, they're more than willing to do whatever it takes to get them...cuz...wait for it...they're CRIMINALS.

Now see...you are just wrong there......once they broke into the vault we have to think there would be at least 100 or more guns.....now...

1) as they waited in the store for their background checks to go through on the newly stolen guns...odds are the police would catch them in the act....

2) at some point one of the criminals would surely have realized that it was against the law for them to steal guns...and would have convinced his friends that they had to stop what they were doing...

So there you go....

Now gun grabbers.....riddle me this...had they been successful....what would licensing law abiding citizens and their guns have done to stop these criminals? And what point would there be in licensing law abiding people, and registering their guns.....when these guns were stolen....?

Pity – many of your posts seem to indicate that you're among the few more reasonable rightists on the forum, and then you start a thread worthy only of that 2aguy nitwit.

Your thread premise fails as an appeal to consequences fallacy.

I just calls 'em as I sees them Clayton. These guys broke into a gun store with a backhoe. If they'll go to that extreme, a background check isn't going to stop them. Criminals, by definition are law breakers. Laws aren't going to stop them.

The guy in another thread got his grandmother to straw purchase a gun for him. His own grandmother. Are you going to stop grandmothers from buying guns? Furthermore, are we going to put a grandmother in prison for a straw purchase?
