After Obama care, the cheapest I could find was $300/month. Since I'm just over the income limit, I don't qualify for subsidies.

As a result I don't have insurance at all. Can't afford it.

Don't worry, you're wife or girlfriend has her prostate exam included in her premium. No. The bill was too large for anyone to read. Which by the way, was intentional. They even said openly they made the bill huge and insane, specifically so that no one would read it.

That's one of the problems with a democracy, which is why we were not supposed to be a democracy.

At the start, you can whip up support for anything. Democracy is a rule of the ignorant. You can say "Yes we can!" like the Obama slogan, and when you do those empty slogans, everyone imposes on that "Yes we can!" what they want it to mean.

But if you pass a bill that is easy to read and understand, then you can't make up your own views of what it is supposed to mean. You end up with people reading it, and finding things they disagree with.

Democrats know that. So they made a bill that was massive intentionally, so that when they pushed for it, the people wouldn't have time to read it. So everyone just assumed it was going to do what they wanted.

I don't need to read the bill now. Because the bill has already passed, and is law. All I need to do now, is look at the market, and see what the results were.

The results were, I can't afford health insurance now. That's it. That is all I need to know.

No, not so lucky. There's a number of reasons I have chosen to remain single...

but the biggest is that I have failed at everything I have tried to do in life. I failed out of college. Failed at my careers. I tried to do truck driving, and fell asleep at the wheel of a semi doing 65 on the highway. I tried to get some certifications, and failed at that after spending hundreds of dollars on tests.

So I have no career, no trade skills, no degrees, and right now no income. I'm 43, and have had almost.... I think I have had roughly 40 different jobs in my life.

SO! How would I afford a family, when I can just barely take care of myself?

I don't want to marry some chick, and end up with her living in poverty for life. Or worse having her go work hard, to make up for my lack of a career or future.

Being too Cadillac for an obamacare subsidy, I saw my premiums rise close to 30% a year while Obama was POTUS and are now down to about 15% a year. That is where I am at. Donald Trump is loathsome but he at least is saving me money.

Trump had nothing to do with your reductions in premium.

So you do medicare supplement plans. Not worth the paper they are wrote on.

What are you talkin bout? The supplement pays everything over the 80% Medicare payout, plus so many benefits. Usually for about 250 per month. Wanna pay 20% on a 100k operation? In Florida they are usually ZERO premium because there are millions and millions of old farts walking around. My mother got a shopping bag each month of crap from the drug store.
