Speaker Johnson: Biden just announced that he would veto our bill to prevent noncitizens from voting

Biden and the Democrats: "If illegal immigrants are not allowed to vote, then what was the point of letting them in in the first place?"

OK so why shouldn't I vote in my own state (Virginia) then get in the car and go to WV, PA, MD, with NO ID and vote again?

Jokes aside I do find it rich that the leftist dems are using the "laws on the books" argument when they scoff at the same notion when they propose new firearms restrictions.

Tell Mike Johnson playtime is OVER!

Defund the Federal government

It's not in the Constitution they can't. Hence a state right.

Right?
Not surprised you are cluless about the Constitution, but the 26th Amendment

Section 1

The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.

Section 2

The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

So Congress can make appropriate legislation to make sure that the right of citizens of the United States, right to vote isn't abridged.

Nobody is abridging your right to vote. Lol

what makes you think a State has a right to allow aliens to vote in Federal elections?
They don’t think
They feel it should be so that the illegally catered to illegals will vote Dem
An ID is easy as pie when you choose to think and enact just a tiny bit of responsibility initiative

If aliens vote it certainly does, hence why Congress has the ability to make this law.
That amendment concerns voting age.

If they were really trying to have citizens only vote, they would have a national ID system.
Also good for employment verification.

Nope. Folks at the DMV can be designated as election officials by the state. When you got your Real ID you had to provide proof of citizenship, This bill simply applies the same standard to voter registration. Your argument that it is too onerous is false.

Nope. Again, read the bill, it only applies to when you register. You're already registered. You don't have to "troop" anywhere.

Nope. Again, read the bill.
Read Paragraph 4

Yes, it says that US Citizens 18 years of age. It specifically says citizens.

We do have a number of national ID systems...passports for examples, and of course the REAL ID program:

I agree. We should use a version of that such that every citizen has one. It should be eminently easy and of course free. Else you are abridging the rights of citizens.
