President Barack Obama is an Islamist who is intentionally working against the security of the United States, said former Florida Rep. Allen West.

"The only plausible explanation for many actions taken by President Obama and his administration is that they are working counter to the security of the United States of America," the retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel wrote in a post on his website on Wednesday.

West cited the president's decision to release five senior Taliban members in the exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl; supplying weapons to support the Egyptian government led by the Muslim Brotherhood; and negotiating with Hamas.

He also criticized Obama's decision to suspend a ban on Libyans attending U.S. flight schools and studying nuclear science, which had been in place since 1983.

"Can anyone explain what the strategy and objective is here in lifting this ban with a nation that is or should be on the terrorist watch list?" West wrote.

"Sorry, but I can only explain this one way: Barack Hussein Obama is an Islamist in his foreign policy perspectives and supports their cause."

He added, "The pivot away from the Middle East seems to be nothing more than an opportunity to enable Islamists and their goals. Anyone supporting this Libyan ban being lifted is indeed an enemy of this state."

Allen West: Obama Is an Islamist

Col. West is no extremist or RW kook.

Calling West an extremist or a RW kook would be kind.

West is far beyond that.

Yeah, he's calm, sensible, thoughtful, deliberate, intelligent, of good humor, of sound judgement, morally straight.

Qualities you must find irritating, huh?

You probably admire him because he got kicked out of the Army and still managed to keep his pension.

Wrong. I admire him because he fights for Liberty, loves America, wants to secure the border, and puts American citizens who play by the rules first. Everything trash like you despise.

You say you admire him because he puts American citizens first who play by the rules. But he himself didn't play by the rules, which is why he got kicked out of the Army. Yet you still admire him? You seem to be a confused individual.

Good point. The rules I'm speaking of are honorable. The rule you're speaking of is cowardly and un-American.

I can think of only one use for Allen West. He'd probably even fuck that up.

Doing the right thing. General George Washington had his own soldiers shot for disobedience. You leftists would have pissed your diapers if that happened today.

At least get your facts straight. He had them shot for mutiny, NOT disobedience.

Do you agree with shooting them?

You're not doing too good on this thread. Quit while your ahead. West should have got Leavenworth for what he did.

If West's actions were honorable, he wouldn't have been kicked out of the military. He probably had to beg for his pension too.

Oh, for sure. The military never made a political decision, huh.
