I find fat repulsive...which is probably lucky because I have a tendency to gain weight and I hate it so much that I really fight hard to keep my weight in check. My husband once asked me what I thought would happen if I didn't diet. I told him I'd probably weigh 300 pounds. Actually,I'd probably be dead by now.

I like my men on the skinny side, too. No big butts on men, please! This is about right:

It's my experience that most men get to keep their "skinny" butts. All most of them have to do is hitch their pants down below that spare tire. Women, on-the-other-hand are almost never so fortunate. Women are far more aware of their changing, and enlarging, bodies because they tend to pile on the fat over their entire bodies. They have to continually "up" their dress size. A big-bellied male is as unattractive as an overall obese woman, IMHO.

Look at the little girl in the picture I took a couple days ago. She was eating french fries from McDonald's and had finished her Chicken McNuggets. Deep fried junk food.
Look at the adults around her. Fat. The little girl is already getting fat. American Negroes are incredibly fat. Negresses call themselves "BBW"s, "thick," and "curvy" when all they are is fat. The men call themselves "husky" and "big" when all they are is fat. American Negresses have the highest rate of obesity of any group in the nation.
Why would anyone let a child eat that kind of food? Don't tell me it was all that was available. I was there. There was a little store nearby where they could have bought her a normal sandwich and an apple. Even if there weren't, there are always places to prepare or buy those things and they travel well.
Caucasoids may laugh along with fat black people and like the way they sing or something, but they won't hire them for good jobs. Everyplace I've worked where there are fat people of any race, the fat people call out the most and work the least when they're there. I once worked at a place where a man was so fat he broke five office chairs and even toilets. (He was a caucasoid, by the way.) Finally, his knees gave up and he had to quit, costing us all by requiring disability when all he had to do is stop eating so much and eating bad food.

Obesity is an epidemic, and it isn't just effecting black women, it's effecting the majority of people of all races. The media doesn't tell about those, and like my comments about transplants for other problems, gastric surgery is no a panacea. Many people only lose a little, others gain it all back. The dishonesty of the medical community is unconscionable. This is just another way to make a lot of money. If they can rook the taxpayers into footing this bill they will. To lose weight you eat less and you eat healthy. That's it. That's all there is to it. And yes, nutrition and diet therapy were part of my nursing education. A big part of the obesity epidemic is people on psych meds that alter metabolism. Any provider who doesn't start tackling that problem from dose 1 is negligent.

Because you do not lose weight just from eating less when you get to a certain size and you have other problems.
Some medications prevent a standard way of metabolism.

Gastric bypass and banding is not covered by Medicaid NOW.

and that is what I am pointing out - the vast majority of obese population is a low income ones, so they are very often a Medicaid population.
making it painful to eat too much is the only option for some.

Gastric bypass doesn't work either. People gain the weight back somehow. Nothing actually works for the super-obese. I took off around 35 pounds 9 years ago and i've kept if off. That is doable. But if you're a 100+ pounds overweight, the situation is hopeless. You can take if off, but you can't keep it off.
