1. Burglaries were being committed in the neighborhood and the person seen committing the crimes was a black male.
2. White racist idiots seeing a black male jogging down the street (in their pea-brains, fleeing the area), demanded he stop. He didn't (he was in his right to jog and not be accosted). They tried to get him to stop and when he didn't.....they opened fire.
3. This was a case of racial profiling. They saw a black male running and assumed guilt.
4. In the end, this a homicide case. Those responsible for shooting him, must stand trial and serve time.
5. And...even if he was some black male canvassing the neighborhood for a burglary, he was unarmed and not even carrying anything, just jogging. No "stand your ground" law should be in play on this case.
While serving on military duty in Georgia in the 80's, I can assure you, I've seen that racism is very much alive in the south.
As long as I live, I will never understand the south's continuing belief that they were wronged in the Civil War to free human beings from slavery. I do believe that if you took those who still believe the south was in the right and forced them and their children into slavery for awhile, they might come around to actually grasping what it was like and how wrong it was.
Oh, and for those blacks who keep insisting that our nation was so horrible because of slavery, the U.S. only received 4% of the black slaves, most went to South America (mostly Brazil), while others went to Islamic countries (and in the case of the Islamic countries, it continued well into the 20th century), so it was a worldwide phenomenon of "primitive thinking."

People can’t be this dumb. For years ABC might have well stood for American Broadcasting for Caucasians. NBC, National Broadcasting for Caucasians and CBS the Caucasian Broadcasting Service. It took until 1983 for a woman of color to win the pageant and these two things alone were why there was and is a Miss Black USA. Are whites that blind to the things they have done to think they are not included just because they did not expressly name something the white this or that even while excluding anyone not white?

Whites are crying about Historically Black Colleges. But then just because you call yourself Harvard doesn’t exclude the fact that you are historically white. I can say that for almost every university, private or public, in this country. Blacks built colleges because we weren’t allowed into historically white colleges and today just because whites don’t call these colleges exactly what they are, they cry about HBCU’s like there is no such things as an HWCU.

I have heard whites crying about Miss Black America. The usual whining is how unfair it is and how the outcry would be huge if whites had a pageant that was named Miss White America. What do they think the pageant was from 1921 until 1970 when no one of color was allowed to compete in the pageant? It was not until 1970 that a black contestant participated in the Miss America pageant, Miss Cheryl Brown. So then it was apparent the pageant was for whites only. For 50 years it was the Miss White America Pageant. Now just because white people didn’t call it that doesn’t mean that wasn’t what it was. It took until 1983 for a woman of color to win the pageant and these two things alone were why there was and is a Miss Black USA. Are whites that blind to the things they have done to think they are not included just because they did not expressly name something the white this or that even while excluding anyone not white?

Whites are crying about Historically Black Colleges. But then just because you call yourself Harvard doesn’t exclude the fact that you are historically white. I can say that for almost every university, private or public, in this country. Blacks built colleges because we weren’t allowed into historically white colleges and today just because whites don’t call these colleges exactly what they are, they cry about HBCU’s like there is no such things as an HWCU.

I respect you for your honesty first off. I hope you can respect mine. The truth is republicans ended reconstruction under the Rutherford Hayes administration. Rulings led by republican supreme court justices nullified the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments. The majority of yes votes in Plessy v. Ferguson which established legalized segregation was republican. Now republicans need to quit this lying. Also whites need to stop minimizing racism to not liking somebody of another race. Racism against people of color by whites has been far more than that. Such racism is why we both are sitting here on native American land discussing racism. So when you find non whites who have taken over a white country and decided to call it theirs, let me know.

Neither of the McMichaels were the one who called about an intruder at the construction site as you had said. It was a DIFFERENT caller to 911:

In one call, made at 1.14pm, the dispatcher asks for the address and the reason for the call. An unidentified man’s voice can be heard responding, “Uh, I’m out here at Satilla Shores. There’s a black male running down the street,” in an apparent reference Arbery.

In an earlier call at 1.08pm, a different unidentified caller reports “a guy in a house right now, a house under construction”. The dispatcher asks if the man is breaking into the property, to which the caller responds: “No, it’s all open, it’s under construction.”

Then who made the calls? The 3rd guy who was recording with his phone? Are you suggesting that black burglary suspect 1 wasn’t the same guy who attacked the man with the shotgun?

Sounds like there were several people out looking for the burglar suspect.

But you think they were all out just to lynch a random innocent black guy?

Boss, try and see something beyond what your lying eyes are showing you. The black guy ran around the vehicle because the shooter hopped out of the truck, so the jogger tried to get the gun before he got shot. He clearly was not attacking the man. He was trying to get the gun out of his hands. You can't see that?

Wrong. If someone tries to take a gun out of my hand they are just as likely attacking me as they are taking preemptive action to defend themselves

Look, this isn't hard people. The video shows everything. The guy standing in the back of the truck shot first. The jogger was probably confused and possibly didn't even know there was a second shooter. We will never know. But, if it were me, and I only saw one guy with a shotgun standing in the next lane, thinking he already shot, you damn right I would go after him and his gun. At that point, I have no other choice.

You have several other choices. One would be not putting yourself into a jackpot to begin with but then that would involve too much personal responsibility.

No, the responsibility lies with those 2 white men. They had no business doing what they did.
